The Smoke Stack Hobby Shop

This is a very neat hobby shop. As soon as you enter, you're greeted by a fun train layout with some neat features like a ferris wheel and a model waterfall. A second, larger train layout is located around the corner, where the Hocking Valley Model Railroad Club has a very nice set up. They have some good step stools available too, so those who need it can get a better look at all of the neat details and the trains.The store offers a wide variety of hobby models, including not only a good selection of train items, of course, but also planes, monster trucks, and even some neat animals and dinos. In the back are some glass display cases where they show off some completed models, which were neat to see too. There's a small parking lot to the side of the building.

Excellent store friendly employees great service and large selection of items .I highly doubt this store to everyone that is building a train or even upgrading one .

Outstanding hobby shop. We went there to get a model for our nephew and they had a lot of kits. Very hrlpful. Looks like they also have a lot of model trains.

The owner Dale was very helpful. For Christmas, I built a train set for my son which included old trains passed down from my father, O-27 gauge. I purchased several switches and track. I didn't know exactly what I would need and Dale took the time to explain several things to me. He even took apart my train engine and inspected several parts on it for me.. I also purchased an AFX racing set. I should have researched prior, but I just took their advise and picked the one they recommended. After bringing it home I looked it up online and the reviews for the specific set were fantastic... These guys are trustworthy.

we were in awe of this store...how friendly the employees were and they are even pet friendly. We were on vacation...and had our pomeranian...and they were loving on her and very informative and helped us with questions. We asked of other stores in the area and the owner went out of his way to print directions for us...KUDDOS to this store. we are modelers and builders and we will be back...the prices were great...not to high...just right affordable. We will be back.

A great hobby shop and great employees! Geared mainly on trains, they also have a large selection of RC cars and parts.The only regret is, they will be closing for retirement at the end of March 2025.

I go here a lot with my dad, every time we've been here they have help us and been so friendly whenever we ask questions. They have a lot of brand new and some really good used for a cheap price.
