Slapping Wings

Decided to check out Slapping Wings this afternoon. Ordered the 10 wings, 5 were the Garlic Parmesan and 5 were Honey BBQ. Also got Hush Puppies, Onion Rings and Mac & Cheese. To me both the hush puppies and Onion Rings suffered from the same thing, no real crispness, like they possibly were cooked in older oil. On to the positives. The Mac and cheese was a baked version and was nice and creamy, could have been a bigger portion for the money. On to the star of the show as it should be, the wings. The Honey BBQ had a nice sweetness that mixed well with the BBQ flavor, the wings were very moist to the bite. For me the Garlic Parmesan wings were the real star. Super flavorful, if I go again I would probably order them. As stated in other reviews the parking is tough for the business.

Was recommended to try this. I thought "how good could they be, they're just wings." OH MAN! This place floored me. Made me want to write a review asap. The wings were incredible!!! The parking lot sucked which made for a weird pickup, but after my wife and I ate, we couldn't stop talking it all night. Will definitely go back and try everything. I'm a batter hound, loved the batter on the wings. Can't say enough good things.

I've seen this little wings on Oakland Park and decided to stop in to see what they were offering. My friend told me to purchase some chicken wings, and I did. The Customer service was great, so I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone that would go. And it's not on the bad side of Oakland Park, it's located on the more quieter side. So don't be scared guys get out and check them out.

Delicious!!! Well worth the drive from Clintonville. Come for the wings, stay for the PERFECT fried okra! One of the only places around that has them at all, and these are the real deal. We will for sure be back! There's even a small seating area inside.

I had to try these wings when I heard there was some secret in the sauce!I ordered 50 wings with sides of mac 'n' cheese and cheese sticks. We asked if we could have 2 sauces, which the owner was very flexible with (in his words, "you're paying for it, so of course!"). So, we did half mild and half spicy garlic.Both sauces were really tasty, but I still think about the slappin mild sauce. It surprisingly had more kick than the spicy garlic!The people in my party thought the mac 'n' cheese was alright and could have used more seasoning, which I agreed with.The owner and guys who were there were very friendly. I plan on returning and trying the other sauces that they offer.A piece of advice: don't drive too fast when you get on Oakland Park! It's really easy to completely miss their establishment as they are next to a corner store, and neither have great signage.

The wings were good. I appreciate the different sauces and the service was timely. I ordered through a delivery service, but it was prepared when they said it would be. Thank you!

We have tried food from here 2x. The first time we had wing dings that were on point. The owner suggested slappin mild sauce. We enjoyed them. We also ordered chicken tenders that were flat and tasted like breading. We called in for the 2nd time the gentlemen who took the order said he didn't know about the slappin sauce. We ordered wing dings; we got small soggy wings not in the sauce we ordered. We were also overcharged!!I doubt we return!!

First time ordering here and won't be the last. Ordered whole wings and was surprised how large the were! The hot fire sauce was not that hot to me but had flavor so I didn't mind. Fried okra was good too. Portion size was large, great value!

The wings used to be larger, just the right size.Now they are super super small. This makes the chicken weird for me. The chicken does taste good, but the size is too small, and I don't like really big chicken wings.

The food is amazing and the restaurant is clean. The owners/workers are nice and very respectful!
