The place was beautiful for Christmas and the host was special to us. We loved the breakfast buffet before checking out of the lodge. Has the soupbeans and sweet cornbread muffins the night before.

This is nice feature of the lodge, the food was good and the serivce was fast and great! Nice to be able to just drop in at the bar and get a few drinks. Also has a wonderful view of the park.

Went here today for lunch with my grandma. The ambiance was very nice. The place was open and bright with lots of windows to see the beautiful area. The staff were friendly but the service was somewhat slow. I really enjoyed my French onion soup which was very flavorful. However my fish and fries were lackluster. The fish was overcooked and had not much flavor. My grandma did enjoy her sandwich though. I'd be open to trying this place again. Especially for their dinner menu instead of Lunch. (Places should just serve their whole menu all day)

Not really worth the price. When the pretzel bites arrived and I recognized them as the same ones that I purchase frozen from Costco, that should've been the tip off. Food was lackluster and service was meh.

We went as a group of 16-18. We had pizza, drinks and BAKED ALASKA! The service was good. Nice safe and great chef! I had the pizza with fig and pork. Delicious!! The prickly pear margarita was yummy. Beautiful view. You've got to get the dessert. Amazing!! (Ask for a side of chocolate sauce) Highly recommend.

Service was TERRIBLE. We waited over 45 minutes to get a draft beer and a sangria, not something that should take that long to put together. During that time the bartender was chatting with the lone customer at the bar. The food was incredibly lackluster for the price point. My Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich was dry, lacked sauce and very small portion. My brother in law ordered a pizza that not only came out much later than our food but was missing the jalapeños he had requested. You'd think for a place that services a large amount of elderly clientele they would be quicker with their service, their customers don't have much time left on this earth.

The holiday dinner buffet was excellent! My husband and I really enjoyed the variety and quality of the food. The service was great! Bridget was very friendly and efficient. The hostess, Jocelyn, was very helpful showing us the hallway so that we could get to the main lobby to pick up the trolley tour. The restaurant, itself, is beautiful with a great view of the lake and grounds. Great experience!

Agree with other reviews. Ordered salad with chicken - waited an hour. Despite many employees, service was terrible. Been to Oglebay, 109 times, and think this renovation with windows looks great, but don't expect much, sadly.
