Simply Smoked BBQ

This is BBQ that will make you pity vegans and the life they lead. Simply Smoked catered a football watching party I attended, and let me tell ya, IT. WAS. AMAZING. The brisket was moist and tender, and full of flavor (no BBQ sauce required, the way Texans intended it!) I legitimately ate myself into what can only be described as a plane between "my pants no longer fit" and "dear god what have I done". WORTH IT. And while I'm not a chicken girl per say, this went above and beyond my expectations. It was juicy and flavorful. The sides were amazing, too. (I'm a sucker for mac n' cheese). When he showed up with the food, I was thinking "there's no way we're going to eat all of this". Yeah, I was way wrong. It was all snatched up in a matter of an hour. No small feat. I'd recommend Simply Smoked to anyone!!

Simply Smoked is a great new place for Texas BBQ. I had their food recently at a catering event and cannot say how impressed I was with this newcomer. The brisket was definitely on par with some of the big guys in Austin. Excellent smoke ring, flavorful peppery bark, texture that melts in your mouth, all in all great eating. I also really enjoyed their pulled pork (try it with their Mustard BBQ sauce!). While not my usual go to, Simply Smoked may have changed my opinion on pulled pork! In addition they had excellent sides. Sides are not what I typically base my BBQ eating around, you'd be foolish to skip them at Simply Smoked. Mac and Cheese is undeniably good. They also have lots of options to please all tastes (spicy or sweet beans, spicy or blue cheese coleslaw). Can't say enough great things! A true family business run by people who enjoy having great times with great food- their customer service is excellent. I hope you'll consider Simply Smoked for your next party or other catering needs.

AMAZING!!As a Texas native I have had my fair share of BBQ across this great state & let me tell you - Simply Smoked holds a TOP rank in my book! There is nothing better than BBQ that doesn't even require sauce to maximize its taste (although Simply Smoked does whip up some amazing sauces as well!). If you consider yourself a BBQ connoisseur you need to get this place on your list as I assure you it will quickly rise to the top of your Best BBQ Contenders. Thank you Simply Smoked for catering the Super Bowl party - I really hope I can count on you guys to be there year after year!

They catered my going away party and it was delicious! Some of my friends are pretty diehard Texas barbecue fans and let's just say there were no leftovers. Homemade sauces, meat was juicy, and the sides were the perfect pairing.

We had never had Simply Smoked BBQ before so we decided to give it a try. The brisket was very fatty and the pulled pork was okay. They have a bottle of sauce you can put on your food but do not give you individual containers. As Covid Delta is ramping up, one would expect individual containers. We also ordered the potato salad and it was very bland tasting. Also, for $3.00 you do not get very much potato salad; not a good value. Again, there was a salt and pepper shaker on the food truck tray one could use. But, aside from the Covid comments above, how would one know that there was no salt on it until one tasted it, necessitating another trip back to the truck to get salt. I would not get this food again. Pat's BBQ food truck is so much better.

This review is long over due. Simply Smoked helped me out with an event in November. I own a catering company but we don't smoke meat. One of my favorite, and best, clients wanted a Texas BBQ for some out of town guests. I did all the sides, desserts & Simply Smoked supplied the star of the show. It was fabulous! My client couldn't have been happier & neither could I. The owner, Mark, went way above & beyond. I am very protective of my reputation & he made us all look wonderful! I will only use Simply Smoked for all our BBQ needs from now on. Thank you so much Mark!

I've used Simply Smoked BBQ for two recent out of town events I've hosted in Austin and they continue to impress. Coming from Dallas and knowing I have other details to focus on- it's such a relief to know I can count on Mark and Nicole to consistently deliver delicious food on time and at the contracted upon price.

Awesome BBQ and service! They catered a party for me and everyone loved it. The brisket is delicious (the best I've had) and the sides are yummy too. I really liked the mustard sauce and the BBQ sauce. Everything was brought in for the party so we didn't have to think about anything. The Simply Smoked caterers were really friendly. We will have them cater for us again.
