Shelby Q

Hidden gem in Shelby, OH! We stopped in and got the barbecue brisket and pork sandwiches. They were delicious, and the sides were even better. Highly recommend the corn casserole!

Traveled out to Shelby Q today. Met Mike the owner, who was super engaging. We discussed all the different food options that are available. He had pulled brisket, pork, and chicken at the time. Ribs weren't available at the time, they were on the smoker. He has a large amount of sides. Pork and beans, green beans, corn casserole, mashed potatoes, potato salad, macaroni salad, coleslaw and potato chips. Ordered the 3 meat sampler. Brisket, pulled pork and chicken. All meats tasted okay but were a little dry. As for the sides. I had the baked beans, they had a little pork in them but not super flavorful. The potato salad was a mustard based salad which was quite flavorful. The mac n cheese was mixed with some barbeque sauce which gave it a different taste, not bad at all. I also ordered the corn casserole which also had barbeque sauce in it. Probably the best side to me. Mike as a number of sauces too go with his meats. He has sweet, smokey, pineapple and spicey. Mike has had the business for 2 years, he also does catering. If you have a chance, stop in and check things out.

Love the food. Very fast and delicious, prices are great and management is AMAZING. Overall wonderful place. So many people have said they love the place and it's now starting up in our community.

This is the third time that we have ordered from Shelby Q.... Each time sides such as corn casserole macaroni mashed potatoes have been very dried out... Even more disappointing is how dry crispy and old the meat is. We have tried, pulled pork, brisket, and shredded chicken. Today we ordered a couple of meals, including pulled pork combo. I'm including a picture of the pulled pork and you can see it is extremely dried out hard to chew this sand is going in the garbage :((

The restaurant was very small with a small dine-in area. I will start off with, thank goodness we had a buy one get one free card for this place. We got the three meat sampler and all the meats were dry. The pork had a freezer taste to it. The brisket tasted like shredded beef jerky in a can. The only saving grace was the bbq sauce. It was the only thing that made it edible. The Mac and cheese was decent and the green beans were okay. The star of the show was awful though. I won't return. This is a hard pass if you are in town. You could easily make better bbq in your oven at home. The best part of this place was the sides and they were mids. The chicken was okay.
