Sheffield Townhouses

My husband and I rented a townhouse from Sheffield Townhouses from 2010 to 2016. I recommend Sheffield Townhouses to all of my friends. Tom is a fantastic landlord; I hear so many horror stories from friends about terrible landlords, but Tom is an amazing landlord. Every time we've had a maintenance request, Tom gets right on problem the next day. The townhouses are spacious and clean. Tom keeps the grounds up well, including repaving the parking lot while we lived there and keeping the grounds clean and trimmed. He also communicates often and clearly. The area is quiet and the walls between the units keep the place quiet. The price also can't be beat in the area. We'd still live here if it were up to us. In fact, when we needed more space due to a family addition, we called Tom to see if he had any 3 bedroom properties! I really can't say enough good things about Tom and his properties. If you are looking to rent, I can't recommend Sheffield Townhouses enough.

These aren't advertised on metro-rentals or craigslist - just signs in front of the various units. I discovered these while driving around Upper Arlington, after looking at 13 different places from the 2 sites I mentioned. That's right, this was the 14th place I checked out. I lived here 3 years, until I left Columbus. I move a lot (previously for school, now for work) and have lived in many, many different places: VA, NC, Boston, NYC, San Francisco, Austin. And this was my favorite apartment ever, primarily because of the owner/landlord. Just like a bad landlord or typical management company can almost ruin your life, a great one makes all the difference.These are older units with not-so-thick walls, but loud noise is discouraged, so it's actually really quiet. In 3 years, I never really heard any neighbor noise, just our immediate neighbor going up and down his stairs. In 3 years I had a minor leak, the AC go out, and an issue with the hot water heater. Each time, I emailed Tom (the landlord/owner) that night and by the time I got home from work the next day, all was fixed!I believe these are the best deal in Columbus for apartments, if you can catch a vacancy. There are only 70 units and - like I did - people tend to stay in them awhile. Each 2-bedroom townhouse gets 2 parking spots and visitor spots are nearbypros: great landlord/management, price, location, quiet, good amenities/appliancescons: no dogs, older (but well-kept) units

I've rented from Tom since 2010. He has always been quick to address problems as I've reported them, and he has always been open in communicating to the occupants of the townhouses.The bedrooms have ample closet space, and the kitchen has a walk-in pantry. The neighbors are excellent people, and I have never had problems with noise. Some of the townhouses are oriented perpendicular to the street, creating a courtyard affording them a nice bit of privacy and isolation from traffic. I would (and have) recommend(ed) Sheffield Townhouses to friends looking to rent in the area.

This is a hidden gem among apartments. The rent is fair and landlord is nice and easy to get a hold of. I lived there from 2013-2017 and still recommend these townhouses to people who are looking. There is parking in the back for you, which usually is plowed in the winter, the main bathroom is pretty large, and the walk in cabinet in the kitchen give you plenty of room. I had no major problems regarding the property, honestly I had no minor problems either. The area is quiet but still close to everything.

I rented for almost 3 years from Tom and I cannot describe what a great value these townhouses are! Not only are they in a great location, they are also huge, and the price is amazing for the area.Tom was also a great landlord, anytime an issue came up it was handled promptly and with good communication. It was also really convenient that I didn't have to keep signing yearly leases (like most places in the area).Excellent for any OSU student or family new to the area looking for a quiet, worry-free place to live.

I lived here back in 2009 for a year. The townhouse is very spacious and well maintained, and you really can't beat it for the price. Great location and never had any problems. Would recommend to anyone and everyone.

Lived in Sheffield Townhouses for six wonderful years. The property was well maintained and clean. The landlord, Tom, responded promptly to any repair needs and correspondences. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a two bedroom apartment.
