Sexton's Pizza

I see why some people say this is one of the best pizza places in town! I ordered the East Village (pepperoni with basil), 16" NY style pie.They are known for selling out so I ordered in the morning for an afternoon pickup. Easy to find behind the cultural and arts center. A lot of parking spots in their lot.Not busy when I walked in since it wasn't even 4pm yet. Nice staff who greeted me. I got a text when my pizza was going in the oven too. Very helpful to know.It tasted delicious! The basil and the mozzarella tasted fresh. You could tell they used quality ingredients. Price was reasonable for what it was. I'm sure I'll be back!

The long blond hair server with white T-Shirt on Friday 9/13 was very rude and couldn't care less about us.We were waiting to order pizza, the server saw us and completely ignored, walked right to an empty table started to clean everything, move every single chair together, not even turned around even she looked at me and saw me that I was waiting for her.I used to work at a restaurant before and I don't think that is something that I'm gonna do if I was working. Everything was on purpose.So we decided to leave, not going to eat here. After we left, she walked after us, I saw her point her finger at us, talked to another girl about us for sure.I know that the restaurant doing very good, but the service was very very very unacceptable.

Have given sextons a few tries and honestly I do not get the hype. It's not horrible pizza but for the price and extreme wait times I don't find it worth the hassle. It tastes burnt to me and I don't find the ingredients super fresh or appealing. They have an interesting menu but a lot of the pizzas are kind of similar. It sucks because they are super close to me but I just can't get with it. With so many pizza options in the city I just can't recommend.

Very nice pie! Loved the crust! We ordered delivery but will dine in next time as I am sure that will improve the rating!

The mighty have fallen.. Loved this place, pizza was nearly NY style. Fast forward.. It's always burned, I keep hoping for it to go back to how it was when it opened, but they jacked the prices and killed the quality..

First timers ordering the Extra cheese, pepperoni, basil. Delicious combo, worth trying again!

Good news is the topping still aren't evenly distributed. It's very disappointing. Service was great

Wow, what a letdown. I had such high hopes for this "NY" style pizza and it came burnt. I don't mind my crust a little crunchy but it definitely does not need to taste burnt. They also skimped on the pizza sauce so I wound up with burnt cheesy bread. The only thing you could taste was the burnt crust. It tastes like it's cooked in a stone/brick oven which is usually awesome, but not so much when you're in such a rush to get the pizza out that it's completely ruined. Also I wish places would stop claiming to have a NY style pizza, a thin crust is not all you need to claim that...okay. At least my order got here early ?

Ran out of dough at 830 on a Friday night. Pizza is good but not that good. Will never go again.Had to leave a 1. Really wanted 0

This is my favorite pizza in town. Highly recommend this if you like NY style. It will have some dark spots but that is flavor.
