Sexton's Burger Bar

Finally made it over here. We don't get over this way much anymore, and their hours are a bit weird, so I haven't been able to come before.The spot used to be a Grinder's, and then a crossover health food-sub shop. It still looks a lot like a Grinder's inside. Lots of windows, bright and pleasant inside. Seats and room at the bar. Nice big patio outside.Basic menu: burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, tots. I got the house burger, with cheese, onions, pickles, and "bar sauce." Two good thin smashburgers, good bun, good toppings. Didn't notice the sauce. Added up to a decent-sized, pretty good burger. The best I've had? Nah, but pretty darn good.Also got cajun tots. Big portion of good tots. Very light seasoning; tasty, but not spicy or overwhelming.Great service; I ordered at the counter and carried out. I'll be back to try other things (and hit their pizza joint.)

First time here & I ordered online went in when order was ready & had to wait an additional 30 minutes past the time when the online ordering said my food would be ready...and still waiting here at the bar, not even offered a water or an apology whatsoever this is unacceptable! Service is lacking & needs improvement as does the overall system & some of my order was incorrect which isn't surprising. It wasn't even very busy it just needs some work in employee training skills.

Burgers are small but pack quite the punch of good burger flavor!! Fries remind me of 5 Guys burger joint's (which i like).Service was a little confusing coming in. Wasn't sure if i truly was to sit myself trusting they seen me waiting to order in my own chosen table (behind the wall for example).It's expensive though for the little you get but anything more would turn to gluttony. In other words, what looks like a little bit of food fills you up to perfection!

I have not had very good luck with smashburgers this year. Another disappointing experience. My burger and fries looked nothing like the pictures in other reviews. The fries were burnt and greasy. The burger was super dry and didn't even fill up the bun. There's a "where's the beef" joke in here somewhere.

The smash burgers were good and the potato roll was on point. Fries were a bit too salty for me (but probably fine for most people). Good spot to go when you crave a burger. It was plenty filling, service was quick and it had a good atmosphere. Somewhere between diner, arcade and sunny little coffee shop. Next time I'll skip the fries.

Sextons was just as amazing as I thought it'd be. We had been wanting to try it for a while now and it was outstanding. Their burgers were incredible and fries may be the best shoestring fries we've even had. Staff was very friendly as well. Cute interior which brings the vibe all together.

This is only the second place I have had TRUE smash burgers! Sexton's actually carmelizes their onions and cooks the beef over them to cook the flavor in just like in Oklahoma during the Depression! The burgers at Sexton's are all double patties and come off the grill blazing hot! You can add lettuce, tomato, and pickles for no charge. True smash burgers have patties that are almost completely flat and have crispy edges; incredible really! The fries were thin, hot, and inexpensive for a healthy serving in a good-sizr cardboard boat.Sexton's has a small selection of beers on tap and additional drinks in bottles and cans (most non-alcoholic).The manager was friendly and accommodating. As a burger bar, it's set up like a classic diner with bright countertops, chrome seats, and a few good arcade machines!

Definitely worth a trip to try these great burgers and fries! It's a simple menu and restaurant, but a fun vibe! The food is what shines the most! I can't wait to go back!

Went to Sexton's Burger Bar with my dad on a Tuesday for dinner. We arrived around 6 pm and were able to seat ourselves. The restaurant's entire menu is hamburger and fries which reminded me of 5 Guys. They are setup similar as well. Since the menu was so limited, we were able to order right away. I ordered a cheese burger and my dad got a double hamburger. I'm not entirely sure why but the waitress gave me a double as well even though I did not order one. On the menu, it stated that the burgers were $12 and adding another patty to the burger added an additional $4 which I did not order. This made an okay burger to a pretty expensive burger. The burger was pretty salty but after adding ketchup and their signature Burger Bar Sauce. I was a little disappointed by it when I first tried the sauce but after having a few bites of it, ended up loving the sauce. I highly recommend getting the sauce. I did also try the Serrano sauce which was not what I wanted. The fries were good but very greasy. I would come back maybe if I was driving by and hungry but I do not think I would go out of my way to come back to this restaurant as the food was just okay.

Apparently they don't start online orders until you are already there waiting? Then why did i even order online? I've had to wait 20 minutes so far, past the time when the online ordering said my food would be ready...and still waiting here at the bar, not even offered a water or a free meal or anything. Not ordering pick up here again
