Schaffner's Drive In

First time here and it was insanely busy (which is awesome for a local spot). Our onion rings were really tasty and the flurries were just what was needed on a hot day. Can't believe it has taken me so long to try this place but I will be back.

Best ice cream ever. Me and got my order perfect. Has lots of games need more flavors

Been going here since 1970. Over the years from Dutch, to Ed, to Ed's kids, quality and service has always been first rate. Try everything, it's all great!

My daughter loves their burgers and fries. I rotate between the bbq pork, pulled chicken and the fishtail sandwich with batter dipped onion rings, or fried mushrooms. Best soft serve around.

Out for a Saturday evening in Baltimore, we stopped in for a sweet treat after dinner. It was our first time there, we all opted for a milkshake, which they gave several varieties to choose from. Our order took a bit longer than expected, but was worth the wait. The milkshake was a good consistency, not overly thick or too thin. I had nice chunks of strawberry in mine. Over a cool little ice cream shop.

Black raspberry soft serve that rivals Whit's.Mac &Cheese bits comparable to Roosters.Sweet tea that could unalive a diabetic. Good fries. Mediocre chicken salad, don't waste your time. Order something else.

This place is absolutely amazing! I'm 51 years old and skipped school many of times to go enjoy an ice cream cone and hot dog. They recently did a complete rebuild and things look great! Quality and taste haven't changed since I was kid. Every time I go back home to visit, this place is a must have!

Great service and good food. Clean well maintained restaurant. Staff were all polite.

I would give Schaffner's a 5 star rating if they brought back their steamed buns! We frequent this now bigger shop about 3 times a summer being from out of town. My father used to go on and on about how Schaffner's used to have the softest steamed buns around. I found out quickly that the process of steaming their buns went by the waste-side. I feel that this kind of bun makes the food more enjoyable than just a regular toasted or plain bun.

Great food and service. Perfect place to take the family or team after the kid's sporting events for ice cream. Year 'round this is a great spot!
