Management, maintenance and overall communication are terrible. "Amenities" are rarely accessible. The pool has not been open before mid-June in years, and often closes down the next day for "repairs." Moving out is awful. Take photos and keep record of EVERYTHING. I gave more than a 60 day move-out notice, and they claimed they never received it. I had to upload photos I took indicating I did submit the request because the online app does not send or save any type of record. They provided no instructions for move out procedures and required several calls to corporate to figure out what I needed to turn in. Security deposit was never returned. Avoid!

The management is a joke and to have zero interaction with them is not reassuring , they will come up with anything to make an excuse for the so called policies. They hold you accountable if your neighbor smokes and damages your apartment with smoke skum walls, so when you move out, you will be held accountable to pay the charges. Issues of poor communication and lies by incoming management is not reassuring. For the price it's the cheapest around. Be cautious. It's not a walk in the park. You get what you pay for, being in the out line area of Columbus.

This apartment left me homeless.I was suppose to look at the apartment today at 2pm. Showed up and no Tina. Waited, still nothing. Called, no answer. Finally texted. Tina denies we had an appointment and I remind her of the email she sent. She says, "Oh, well I cancelled that appointment. I already rented the unit to someone else, sorry you didn't get the email."Sorry I didn't get the email?! You're not the one without a place to live, TINA!

Rent is fair and the property is decent on the outside. The maintenance staff are great. However the property manager Tina and the Ebner office staff are very difficult people to work with. They don't treat their people right and get very defensive when questioned about things. In your dialogue with them it is clear that they have no genuine interest in your satisfaction or your welfare as a human being in general. BEWARE, when you fill out the application it's also the lease document meaning if you are approved to stay you're automatically in a lease contract. Very sketchy practice that isn't clearly communicated upfront. Almost all the apartment communities in Columbus have the application for approval and the lease signing as very separate interactions and documents. Stay away from this property. You might pay less in rent but the savings aren't worth it.

Ebner Management was the worst management company I have ever encountered. They pretend that they do not have your documents to not renew your lease. If you do not send your documents through FedEx or Certified Mail, they will literally extort you for upwards of 2000 dollars. This apartment complex is cheap. Tina is so nasty, defensive, and horrendously incompetent. So in short, I would advise, that you pay more for a nicer place, but less in the long term.

I have lived at Sawmill place for two years. After my first year was up they automatically renewed my lease without any warning before doing so. But the absolute WORST part of Sawmill Place is the "property manager" (if that's what you even want to call her), Tina Hansen. She is the most rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional woman I have ever encountered. There is not a nice bone in that woman's body. I have seen her ONE time during my two years of living there and that is when I signed my lease. I am writing this review now because I referred some family friends who are from another country to live there because it was in their budget. I warned them about Tina ahead of time but I never thought she was going to be THIS bad. She was talking to them in a rude tone as expected but started off the conversation asking where my friend was from and why he had an accent. They went back and forth and she was extremely difficult to talk to and wouldn't let him get a word in and at the end of the conversation said "well you sound foreign and I really do not trust you living here". I am honestly embarrassed that I even referred him to this place. Tina is a horrible human being and does not care about customer service or people in general. I advise you to look somewhere else if you are considering sawmill place.
