SEVEN WORDS: Great Comfy Atmosphere / Columbus' Best Indian Food..I will stand FIRMLY by those Extreme Words. Each time I try a new Indian Place, it just confirms it. Yes, there are PLENTY of Sub-Continent Asian Cuisine Choices in Central Ohio - and Several strong 5-star restaurants - but this I'd our Go-To for Best Indian Food..It is a Rehabbed Bar/Go-Go Lounge that's Nestled between a Small Car Seller and an Abandoned Self-Service Car Wash - and the parking lot is PAINFULLY SMALL. Still, if you can manage those two inconsequential factors - this Food is Great..Let me Rephrase that...this place IS GREAT! .We Often Order their Calamari. It's on pF with several Greek Restaurants' Calamari - nice portions, but a FANTASTIC breading, which is tinged with a light bit of salt and lemon pepper. It's served with a variety of sauces. All are interesting and add intrigue to this Appetizer..I pick something randomly every time I show up at Sargam and all have left "my tummy happy," as my wife often says a after a visit here..I'm not going to review any individual dish beyond the Calamari, but the Tikka, Curry, and Garam Masala were all fantastic..Now, I'm hungry to go back!.Dang it!.Five-Stars, for Certain.

Do NOT let the outside deter you. This place is really cute inside. I cannot believe they are not constantly packed. This was my first Indian food experience and wow it was a great one. Our server was a young man and he was so polite, very nice and attentive. He recommended the chai tea and it was by far the best I have ever had. I will absolutely be back! This is a must try if you have not already!!

This restaurant was amazing- it's been a few days since we ate here and I have wanted to go back everyday it is SO GOOD! Service: We opted for dine in (they have carry out and delivery through different apps) on a super cold night 2 hours before closing. It was clean, quiet, and a very welcoming atmosphere. The man working was super kind and checked in with us a few times throughout the meal to make sure we were ok. He was very attentive and was managing both the tables and the bar. Ambiance: this place looks kind of drab and blah from the outside, but I was pleasantly surprised by the inside! It felt like a hole in the wall kind of spot- bigger and nicer on the inside than it looks outside. They also play what appeared to be parts of Bollywood movies and music videos on a screen at the bar, and that also appeared to control the music that's played throughout the restaurant. I got some great Spotify suggestions while we were there!Spice levels: I wasn't sure how spicy things were going to be- I love spice and my husband is cant take a lot of spice. They have a range of 0-5, 0 is no spice. My husband tried spice level 1 and I tried spice level 3. It was a great balance of both spice and flavor, and I felt like I could have gone up to 4-5 and still enjoyed the flavors while also enjoying the heat! My husband also admitted he probably could've gone up a spice level and been ok. Portion sizes were great, and we got 1 order of garlic naan to share.Masala Chai: The Chai I had was really good! I was a little surprised by how sweet it was, but the flavor profile was still better than Starbucks or that fake coffee shop taste. All in all, I can't wait to go back!

This isn't the normal Nepali Restaurant... The warm greetings, the aroma that leaves the mouth salivating, the exquisite flavoring of the taste. Highly recommend and bring your loved ones so they feel this sensation too. No gatekeeping!

Excellent, authentic Nepali food (my family is Nepali). Spice levels are perfect. Momo Jhol should be a signature dish. Just as good as any Nepali restaurant in America

We stopped by here on a Thursday evening around 8:30. The parking lot was pretty empty and we were able to be sat right away. Our waiter was excellent, great recommendations, attentive service, and so sweet. The restaurant was fairly empty, minimal decor, and overall rather quiet. We ordered a round of waters to start, and a chai tea that warmed my whole body have a long flight into Columbus! We also order a Samosa Chaat for the table to start. It was filled with unique flavors that started the meal off perfectly. We decided for entrees we were going to all share three different plates. We got the Chicken Korma - medium spice, which was creamy and sweet, the Goat Bhuna -hot spice which was savory and spicy, and then the Lamb Rohan -mild spice which had a nice acidic savory flavor with creaminess from the yogurt. This was the perfect blend of flavors, textures, and heat, and we brought it all together with an order of hot warm Naan!If you're in the area, definitely stop by. If you're flying into Columbus airport, make this your post-flight meal, and you have no reason to come over to this part of town, do it anyway for a great meal and great service!

I believe I've finally found my favorite Indian spot in the Columbus area! Was visiting a friend on the East side and we made it out this way. The outside of the building is very unassuming and on street coming off the main road, you may not see it immediately as you turn. Our server was very sweet and kind. Several doordashers were picking up orders as we waited for our meal. The lamb curry was very good, I ordered spice level 2 "regular" and could've still gone spicier. I also really enjoyed the cheese paneer app with the cilantro sauce, and the garlic bread was also good. If you can't tell by the photos the portions are very good sized and the prices are also very good. The menu is also very helpful in denoting dishes being gluten free, dairy, vegetarian, etc. We really loved our dinner, can't wait to go back and bring other friends

This is a hidden gem. If you're expecting excellent Indian food, this place is top notch. It may not me much to look at as far as the building, but don't judge a book by its cover. Lose the attitude and go get the best Indian food on the East side of Columbus. The staff is friendly and the food is excellent. Try the biryani and the vindaloo! Yum!
