Jumping in the pool now after having success with swim lessons

Highly recommend! Our son LOVES our beach vacation- jumping in the pool and the ocean!Great teachers - and they have individual lessons as an option to class lessons. We personally wanted to have a more focused swim lesson experience based on other swim schools we have tried. After a couple of one on one classes - our son made leaps (literally into a pool) and bounds with improvement. He used to not want to get his head wet, or go under water. But after a few classes here at SafeSplash, that all changed. And we have spent plenty of times going to many classes at other schools- and he wasn't being pushed the right way/ may have been not enough devoted time to actually have progress. So that's why we moved to Sade Splash as they offer private lessons.

Kurt is an exceptional teacher. He's great at gauging comfort levels but also posing challenges. He speaks to his students with tremendous respect and gets results because of it. Highly recommend Safe Splash!

I will give them this, the facility is very clean and nice. But, I signed my baby up for swim lessons and was expecting to get to sing all the songs and have tons of fun. Instead, they had apathetic teenagers teaching the baby classes who were too afraid and embarrassed to sing. We also had a different instructor every week. I'm sure they have good stuff to teach but it wasn't for us and I don't recommend their baby class.

My son wasn't making progress at his previous swim school, even after two years. We switched to Safe Splash Swim School with his two younger siblings, and in just three years, his improvement has been remarkable. Joining the swim team is now a topic of discussion for my wife and me. Safe Splash has truly transformed our experience!

I haven't had any issues with SafeSplash. Scheduling has worked out, even when I need to switch things around, and the teachers (and we've had different ones) have all been great. My kids adjust with each teacher just fine. The important thing is my kids can swim! My daughter, who went from crying her head off just getting her face wet is now doing the back stroke and diving to the bottom of the pool for toys. And my son is going to the local pool and not asking for his puddle jumper and actively puts his face in the water now all the time without inhaling water. Based on my experience I would recommend SafeSplash at this location. It has given me more peace of mind for my kids and their water safety.

Would absolutely not recommend. Expensive. Inflexible scheduling and make up classes. If you don't reschedule within 2 weeks, you lose your money. Constantly changing rules/ guidelines regarding make ups and credits for missed or cancelled classes. Constantly changing instructors with no notice. Most importantly, shockingly UNSAFE instruction. Parents/ guardians are required to stay behind a glass wall where you can watch your children during instruction. Our son was in a beginner class as he did not know how to swim. The lessons are done in water over their heads/ cannot touch the bottom which in itself was alarming. We watched in horror on two occasions as the instructor let go of our child, turn her back on him, and he quickly sank under the water. He struggled to get air and when came up was coughing and clearly had taken on water. When we complained, the manager mentioned the person had been fired as it was reportedly a known problem with this instructor. He offered one free class which we never took. Would never step foot in that place again. Very traumatizing.

Unprofessional, unprofessional, and unprofessional. In the middle of April 2023, the administration sent out a notice that they were closing the Grandview location " because of deteriorating conditions of the pool" at the end of the month. I had been tolerating the program but not impressed with instruction the year my little one had attended. I finally had enough of the instructor/s and I switch to a different day and instructor. I thought finally an instructor who is engaged; this may be tolerable for a little while longer. No, the closing of the Grandview location was announced, for the reason stated above which I know there is more to the story than the "deteriorating conditions of the pool" we all are being hit hard by inflation. The co-owner appeared at the Grandview location one week before the closing of the location asking me if was I going to switch to the Sawmill location. Stating, I would be able to keep the same instructor day and time slot. Also in the email they sent out announcing the closing, they mentioned the ability to keep the same day and instructor. During our last week at the Grandview location, I was approached about the tuition for the following month of May. I paid the tuition as requested. My daughter attended one session for the month of May 2023 at the Sawmill location with our engaged/attentive instructor, the following week, the day before her scheduled instruction time, an email announcement was sent saying there would be a permanent instructor change. My daughter did not attend her scheduled session after the announcement of the permeant instructor change. I called to let them know she would not attend and asked for the owners to return my phone to discuss a settlement or win-win outcome. This is the end of the week since I left the message and I have not heard back from the program administration. Now, my little one is out of an extracurricular activity for a whole month and I paid for services not available. I advise finding another swim program for your youth that care about its clientele and the community they serve.
