Oh dear lord, this tastes nothing like an east coast pizza. Where is the bot when you need it?I like the dining room atmosphere and all the tables. The decor on the walls looks like this would be a fun place to bring friends. The pizza was mediocre at best. Edible, but nothing jumping out to make it stand out. The sauce was bland, but at least they used a cup and crisp like pepperoni. Because it was carry out, can't rate too high or low on the service, except to say it was a very unpleasant experience just to walk in there. No smiles. No small talk. Barely an acknowledgment. More grunting than conversation. So matter-of-fact, I doubt either one of the two fellows remembers I was there! Part of me felt like an intruder. Not very cozy or comfy. Future pizza will be coming from nearby Pickerington. 05/24

I was in Canal Winchester and decided to order a pizza for a wonderful coworker who had helped me so much.I asked Siri for "pizza near me" and Romans came up.Being a long time Yelp Elite, I checked the reviews. They were so mean! How could a local pizza place that had been around for so many years have such mean reviews?For convenience I called to order a pizza for pick up.The call was friendly, the person walked me through their pizza choices and even told me the most popular choices!I then showed up to pick it up and was warmly greeted with a smile and a beautifully delicious pizza!I had to ask...."Why are your reviews so bad???"They were so kind, said they would never let a customer leave dissatisfied and was never approached about these so called "problems"I promised to post a raving review!!They are wonderful.... their pizza was amazing and I think everyone should give them a try!

I agree with the average rating others have given this place. I am a big pizza guy and this place was just ok, nothing special. I ordered a simple pepperoni pizza and wasn't a huge fan of the sauce they use. The Mac n cheese bites were decent, but nothing spectacular.

Not to be confused with the far-inferior Noble Roman's Pizza, Roman's in Canal is a great little spot. Roman's offers some tasty pizza. The thick crust is soft on the inside and the outside is just crispy enough -- another of those rare departures from Columbus-style pizza. The subs are nice too. Fresh baked bread and lots of fillings make them a lunchtime staple around Canal. The menu features lots of sides too. Some are predictable -- cheese sticks, garlic bread and the like. A few of the items are more unexpected. The fried macaroni and cheese is a must-try -- and probably worth the drive to the southeast side. The decor leaves a bit to be desired. There is only one narrow row of booths. You feel like you are sitting in the kitchen, though sometimes that built-in accountability is niceThe help is friendly enough, if not always attentive.Perhaps the best pizza on this end of town.

What a great find! We were in the mood for pizza, being from NJ, we know it's a stretch finding decent pizza outside the NJ/Philly/NYC area. Well you've got it here in Roman's. We got the thin half cheese half pepperoni and we were pleasantly surprised. Not so thin it was like a wafer but not thick like Sicilian style pizza. Nice crispy crust, really tasty sauce and the pepperoni was nice and thin.The owner was great too and we wish him all the best. Wish we took more pictures but it was so good we forget until there was only a few slices left!Keep in mind this is not a fancy place, it's a bar that serves great pizza at a reasonable price.

One of the best pizzas in town me and my family love this pizza and I have not gotten around to write a review but now I am so go check thing place out

Roman's is absolutely amazing.I had doubts about Romans but then I met the new manager and it's made it better now I get pizza there every week.Also the girl that works the counter maybe 17-18 is really friendly she always ask how my day is. I can't wait to get pizza again this week!Romans is the best pizza in canal!

I went to Roman's over the past weekend and the manager/server brought me my food and I ask for a side of ketchup with my fries and he didn't bring it out for 20+ minutes.Then when he brought it out he slammed it on the table.The older man that was making the pizza in the back I asked him for it well done he just ignored me then when it was ready it was not done,then the cheese wasn't melt especially their was a HAIR in my food. If I could rate it negative star I would!

Absolutely the best pizzas and subs! The atmosphere is amazing. The service is the best! It's a great place to enjoy live music. I highly recommend Roman's Pizza Pub in downtown Canal Winchester, Ohio.
