Chicken cacciatore. The asparagus are a little burnt, the mashed potato is actually tasty and chicken is okay.

Although the Hocking Hills Lodge itself is adorable and a cute place to stay, the Rock House Restaurant is very disappointing and I would highly recommend not eating there. My family of 6 had reservations at 4:15 where there were maybe 4 other groups eating at the time. Three of us ordered burgers, one pulled pork sandwich, one soup, and one soup and salad. About 30 minutes after we ordered, our server came over to "check what we ordered" and proceeded to attempt to recite our orders to us. We corrected him on a few things and asked if everything was okay and he yes and he just wanted to make sure. I've worked in the food industry before and I'm pretty sure he forgot to put our order in and that was his way of checking it to then quickly put it in for us.... It was a very weird interaction. Our food came out maybe 25 minutes after. The three of us that had burgers were all missing various toppings that were supposed to be on our burgers and had to ask for them a few different times as the server kept forgetting. By the time I was able to get all the toppings for my burger, I cut into it to find it more pink than I was hoping for (I ordered medium). I then cut it up more to find it was completely raw on the inside. The picture shown doesn't even do it justice. It was truly disgusting and hard to stomach even looking at. The other two burgers were similar. We called the server over and explained that we could not eat our food and he got the manager. The manager came over and was one of the most passive aggressive and dismissive people I've ever talked with telling us "sorry it was less than perfect." He then proceeded to give us 20% off our burgers which came out to be about $4 off of a $24.99 burger. It was beyond disappointing, disrespectful, and unprofessional. We did not need or want out complete meal compensated, but for the server and then the manager to treat us as if we were the problem and did not see any remorse in the RAW food they gave us that would have 100% given us food poisoning had we eaten it, was infuriating. I highly recommend you do not eat here and choose to leave the Lodge when looking for food.

Go to LoganThe food wasn't cooked, the price was high, and the staff were essentially useless. I watched as a room full of people waited an hour for food. Yes, my 2 yr old knocked over his water. But, no one would help me clean it up. The wait staff went back and forth figuring who could help. After paying $4 for one cup of coffee; I tried to get some at the shop in the entrance for $5. Don't waste your time for breakfast or dinner here. Just leave and go somewhere in Lincoln or pack your own food. It's clear they know they are the only game in a 10min drive and they have no intention of making it the best option in the area.

We stayed at the lodge and there really aren't any other restaurants nearby. Reservations are suggested, but when we got there, only a couple of tables were full. I'd read the reviews and expected a poor experience, so while we waited for our server I went to the next door/same kitchen/same hotel coffee house and saw that they had pizza. We decided against ordering at the sit down restaurant and ordered a pizza from their coffee shop instead. It was fine: thin crust, plenty of toppings, more reasonable price than the main restaurant. We bought chips, licorice, and wine to go with it. We did return to the restaurant at breakfast and ordered blueberry pancakes. They were huge so we shared one order and added potatoes. The portions were good. The potatoes and bacon were crispy, exactly how we like them. The restaurant was nearly empty (it was 10am on a Monday). The only problem we encountered was the service. Our waitress was kind but inattentive, and when I tried to cash out at the hostess station, no one came out there either. After a while, we finally cashed out but it's not a place to go if you're in a rush.

Wasn't a huge fan of Rock House Restaurant. Upon entering it looks like the lobby of any other hotel versus the rest of the hotel/lobby that has a really great feel to it.Prices are reasonable. Portions were good. However both my daughter and I both got really sick after eating there. Server was great and attentive.

We went for valentines last year. I'm picky and looking at the menu was worried I would like anything but everything was delicious and the service was great! Looking forward to our next visit!

We had just come in and were wanting to get dinner carry out. We saw that you needed reservations so we chose carry out. I stood at the hostess stand for at least 10 minutes. Many people running around(staff)no one stops to see if I needed something. Finally a very curt woman came and asked me what I wanted. I told her I wanted to place a carry out. She said ok but can you step aside so I can seat the others behind you. Well okay. How rude. I guess I didn't matter. It took her forever to seat the people then she returned. I gave my order. By the way it was wrong when I got it. The staff acted as if it was their first shift. Very unorganized. This place could be a goldmine if managed correctly. What a shame beautiful place.

If you are Gluten Free because you have celiac, be careful with this place. They list a lot of items as GF, Vegan or Vegetarian on the menu but many of them go into the same frier and do not have a dedicated cooking surface. We worked with one of the chefs and she was able to make some items work for me. If she had not, the menu would have been down to just the salad choices and BORING.The service was good and the decor and ambiance of the new lodge was beautiful. I would definitely recommend going there and enjoying a meal if you do not have severe intolerances to gluten. Otherwise stick to the bar for a drink and enjoy the view.

We ate here two meals (lunch, dinner) while staying in a cabin. Food was great both times. Lots of good kids menu choices and a great dinner menu with a range of dishes. The staff was super nice and everyone working there and at the lodge seemed very happy. A little pricey but we were on vacation and paying a price for being far away from anything else.

Service is good, but the food is low grade and often cold. We arrived party of 7 at 7pm passed the dinner rush, restaurant was almost dead. Burger was late with rest of meals , $30 for a scoop of pulled smoked pork cold and burnt, not recommend. Thankfully wasn't staying in the hotel.
