River Roasters Coffee Co.

I'm willing to cut some slack because we went on a busy morning, but I definitely have mixed feelings on our breakfast. My drip coffee was perfect and I liked the dark roast. My husband had a hot cocoa. The chocolate was nice and the drink was very creamy but the steamed milk was pretty cool. It was more of a slightly warm cocoa and not hot. I ordered a loaded avocado toast no tomatoes and it came with tomatoes. Luckily I could pick them off. My husband got a bacon and egg croissant no cheese. They even confirmed no cheese and it came covered in cheese. He could scrape it off but lost the egg with it. So food was good but the accuracy of the orders was an issue.

Best coffee shop in the Midwest! The people are always welcoming you with a smile, the coffee is great, and the food is delicious! I always feel so relaxed & enjoy the atmosphere that this place saves in Pomeroy with a great view of the river. I always get the cold brew & it's so good, I just wish they had a larger cup size option because it leaves me wanting more!

Nestled in a wonderful little downtown, River Roasters was a pleasant surprise. The mocha was very chocolaty, and the chicken bacon ranch panini had no business being that good. The side of chips and salsa were unexpected but welcome. My stomach was likely very confused by the diverse variety of the incoming guests, but he got over it. My party of 2 left so pleased we swam home in the river.

Great coffee, food and customer service! I make the 30 minute drive from Athens weekly because it's so great!

A hidden gem! Friendly staff, delicious food and drink and close to a pretty view of the river. I had the iced s'mores latte, one of their seasonal specials, a snickerdoodle loaf, and a slice of the piggie pie quiche, all incredible. Give some love to this adorable slice of heaven on a historic main street, one that could use some TLC.

Great food and great coffee! Service was terrific and the atmosphere was great. The pastries are amazing!

Ok just had my second visit where I had the buffalo chicken salad with a London Fog and here's my 2 centsPROS. 1. Nice large serving size. 2. Buffalo Sauce had the right amount of spice with out over powering the rest of the dish. 3. The "Greens" looked more like something that you would find while foraging. 4. The tomatoes were nice and juicy. 5 A extremely well put together salad. CONS1. Should have went with the blue cheese dressing the ranch was a little too much for me.

The food is good and fabulous coffee as well. I always buy a bag of fresh roasted beans for home while I'm there.

The vibe here is copacetic. Reminds me of the coffee places in Sacramento. I'm driving back home to California from Niagara Falls and stopped on my way to the Mothman museum because this town is so cool. There's tons of walking path along the river and the sheriffs station is a castle. The food and drinks here are well worth stopping for and the service was great they have a lovely view of the river through bay windows. Plenty to do nearby and gawk at. 10/10

It can get a bit busy, but the drinks and food are worth the wait. The breakfast sandwiches are huge, and so far everything we've ordered has been delicious. If you want a comfortable coffee shop with that old meets new vibe, I highly recommend River Roasters.
