Rio Fresh Cafe

Being that there is a library conference in town, most of the eateries adjacent to the convention center were booked so I took a walk a but further down High Street and was surprised there was just one other person inside this restaurant. I decided to take a chance and headed in. I got the grilled chicken bowl and I let the server pick their favorite smoothie for me. The chicken bowl was just meh and definitely too much money for the portion size. The smoothie was pretty good not sure exactly what was in it but there was definitely acai and some type of nut butter. The employees were friendly, which was nice, but $27 for a smoothie and a bowl is too much!

We were at the Moonlight Market and couldn't find hot drinks, so we stopped in here. I got a matcha with coconut milk while my friend got black coffee. Delicious!!The space is nice. Very open with white tables and large plants. They've got healthy options on the menu which looked good to try next time.

Such a cute place, friendly staff & good food! the outdoor patio looks so cute and has giant windows that open to the patio. I can't wait to come back here in the summer!

Stopped in during the 2022 Pride parade. I just wanted to comment on what a solid establishment with good people working here. Loved they allowed people attending the parade to use their restrooms during the event without any purchase. Tons of people dining here (perfect location right on High Street).Check out their fresh smoothies and their Açaí Bowls. All made with natural and fresh ingredients and their hand-made.Definitely a business worth supporting. I saw a mother needing a restroom space, as well as some LGBTQIA folks, Allies, and parade attendees as restrooms were few and had to be sought out. It did not appear to be crazily abused but it was refreshing to see this in good practice.

I stop in this shop while I was waiting for my son. I made a purchase because you have to in order to use the restroom. It sits on the corner of High and Gay St. I ordered the Turkey Avacodo Cresant sandwich. It was okay nothing special for 9.59 it could have had more meat. They also sell healthy salad bowl, muffins, and smoothies. I wished I had picked something different. The seating area is spacious, but it was not busy.

Walking up to Rio, they have the cutest little patio with flowers. The menu consists of breakfast options like avocado toast/bagel or croissant sandwiches, some lunch protein bowls, smoothies, and even coffee.We got the iced mocha which is very rich, tasted great. The Avocado Turkey and Cheese croissant was beautiful and all with fresh ingredients - perfectly filling. The Turkey and Cheese Bagel was hot and gooey. I'd definitely like to try their smoothies at some point!

we came here after spending the night in columbus for our first date night after having a kid and this is exactly the place you need to go to after a night out!! not only was the owner and his daughter extremely inviting and helpful they were super sweet and made fun conversation with us while we waited for our foods! my açaí bowl was definitely one of the best i've had! smoothies were awesome too! even my breakfast sandwich was exceptional! we'll definitely be back on our next adventure in Columbus:)

I had an açaí berry shake. No açaí flavor at all. Tasted more like banana and some berries to give it color.

Picked up a salmon bowl for dinner to-go. It was delicious, well made and filling. Healthy food with great service.

This place won't last long. Walked in on a cold day and it was about 50° inside. You could hang meat in there. Got a cup of coffee to stay warm while I waited for my açaí bowl. The coffee was good. The açaí bowl was tasty but it was very small for the price. I'm sorry but 6 blueberries, a quarter banana (maybe), half a strawberry, a tablespoon of granola, a spoon of peanut butter over some açaí mix is not worth the price. I should have turned around when the place was completely empty of other customers. I don't normally write reviews but I feel ripped off. Sorry rio fresh, not recommending you. Not my first açaí bowl but it will be the last I buy from here.
