Such a great theater and plenty of leg room. I had no Idea this place was here! My partner grabbed us tickets to see Tom Popa and when he told me it was the Riffe Center, I had to look it up. Parking was easy and used the Riffe Center Parking Garage at 78 South Front Street. It's a smaller garage so we lucked out but my back up was going to be the Ohio Statehouse Underground Parking Garage.Check in was easy and plenty of staff and ushers on hand. Seats were comfortable and nice legged room. I was completely impressed. Located downtown Columbus, the (Jo Ann) Davidson Theatre is part of The Riffe Center Theatre Complex. It is on the third floor of the Vern Riffe Center for Government and the Arts (named after Vernal G. Riffe, Jr.) at 77 S. High Street.

Went to see Feed Phil! I enjoyed his talk however it should have been titled with guest speaker Jeni from Jeni ice cream. She was a huge part of his conversation and I found more about her life than Phil Rosenthal adventures! To me this was annoying!

Visited here for a stand up comedy show as a gift to my fiancee. The venue was surprisingly intimate and sigNIFicantly increased the value of our purchase! I didn't realize the venue was not an arena type venue when I purchased so we were pleasantly surprised to find out how close we were to the stage! The staff were friendly, courteous and directed us to our seats efficiently. I would LOVE to attend more events and shows here!

Love the ballet my girlfriend and I attended Asian Voices. I had an amazing time-I haven't been to a ballet in years. Definitely a wonderful date night.

We went to a show at the Davidson Theater and it was a great experience! Easy in and out and not a bad seat in the house! Built in 1989 it holds 900 people.... First time visit, but will keep an eye out for future shows!

My wife and I just got home from our first show at The Riffe, BalletMets Dracula. A beautiful theatre, very intimate compared to the Ohio. The sound quality was amazing and the seating was very spacious which made for a more comfortable viewing experience. The staff was all very helpful and friendly as well. I will definitely be back to catch another show soon!

I have seen many shows at the Riffe Center and I have never been disappointed. Last night I went to see Zakir Hussain play with two other traditional Indian musicians and it was a fabulous experience.Upon entrance, you may or may not ride the escalator up along a giant wall of windows to your level, where staff will direct you to your section. The Ushers on our level were extremely kind and showed us right to our seats, which were more than satisfactory. The sound was incredible-- which is even more notable considering how difficult it is to mic acoustic instruments, especially the tablas. The black stage makes for a great backdrop for ballets also!Would definitely recommend a visit to the Riffe Center or to see a Zakir Hussain show if you ever have the opportunity.

Years ago Republican and Democratic elected officials used to battle over who did more to support culture and arts (in addition to jobs, jobs, jobs). The late Ohio House Speaker Vern Riffe decided he wanted an art gallery and a performing arts space in the building that was being built to house certain government officials and agencies. This gem of a theatre got tucked into that building's design.I have seen shows, and I have seen my children perform here with BalletMet and with Columbus Youth Symphony Orchestra. I have seen political speeches here. The space is arrayed in a fashion where the acoustics are outstanding for a small theatre.Parking on street, Riffe garage or Statehouse garage. A great little ticket office is on the ground floor of the High Street side of the building.Yes, Columbus has the Great Southern, the Ohio, and the Palace...but don't forget that it also has the Riffe.(By the way, former Ohio Senate President Stanley J Aronoff has an arts center in Cincinnati named after him. It, too, is great.)

We've been to the Riffe center several times to see various plays, youth symphony, and other entertainment. They have ample parking in their garage (paid parking) and there is an elevator which takes you to your floor directly, which is great during winter months. After many months we came recently to studio 2 to see "Educating Rita". It was fabulous and only served to remind me why the cultural scene at Columbus is so good, and that I need to come here more often. The theaters are all quite comfortable -- some like studio 2 are small and there is no bad seat.
