If lies and verbal abuse are what you're seeking, work with Rick Starr. He listed a property with a false address and blamed the lender for delaying closing when the title and deed were not accurate. He verbally abused and repeated lied to my agent, the title company, and the lender. All thanked me for letting the contract expire so they would not have to continue working with him. I'm a guy and he's the type of misogynistic scum that gives us a bad name. To top it off, he relisted the property while it was still in contract. He makes the whole profession look bad. Benchmark for dirty. "This is how I get deals done" is his justification. Avoid like the plague. To top it off, He texted me the night the contract expired to tell me that I'm cute and invited me out for a drink.

Great company ran by a family man who cares about your family as much as he does his and his.. This family atmosphere takes the frustration out of finding your new home to quickly get you back to having family over once again.

Years ago I had the displeasure of renting a home from Mr Starr and his trophy wife. The home had bad wiring, heating, a/c, and damage to every square inch of the walls. I took pictures when we first moved in. I made decent money at the time, but my paychecks fell a few days before the day rent was due, but if you were one second past the due date. (And I mean 1 second) you got nailed with a 75.00 fee regardless, he would not accept the check, and when you did return, you got another 75.00 fee. His relatives, lived close by and treated the house we rented as their own, they would cut through the yard and and when I asked them not to do it, I got reminded of who they were related to. Then he raised the rent a whole 200.00 a month. When asked why he just said "because I can". I moved out and he kept my security deposit... His reason - because of the holes in the walls.... This man is a self centered narcissistic bully, who only loves money. Do not rent, or buy from this con man. Total POS. Worst experience of my life renting from him.

A further update to my previous review and update; My case with the Realty Board was subsequently escalated to the Ohio State Attorney General for hearing due to the number and severity of the charges, as well as the number of other cases which have been levied against Mr. Starr in the past. My case has been pending for approx a year as there is another case ahead of mine which resulted in Mr. Starr losing his license to sell real estate - that decision is now in appeal and Mr Starr is currently able to practice real estate. If the decision is upheld by the Attorney General, there is no point for the state to move forward with my case. Should he win his appeal, my case will then be heard. It has now been four years of wrangling with Mr. Starr.
