This is a complaint against Angie Cumberland & Meika Lee: representatives of The Residences At Central Park. My wife and I scheduled an appointment to view a 1 bedroom apt for a mid-to-late July move-in date. When we get there they disclose to us that they have no 1-bedrooms to show us at this time but they can show us a model of a 2-bedroom (bait & switch #1). After seeing the 2 bedroom/2 bathroom, they said that they had a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom with a walk-in closet. As my wife and I need closet space, we agreed to the 2 bedroom/1 bathroom w/ the walk-in closet. We put down a $50 non-refundable deposit to not only secure that apartment but receive a special rate of $600 off our 1st month's rent or $50 off our monthly rent for the first year. The next day, we were approved for the apartment. My wife reaches out to Meika to make arrangements to sign the lease the following day only for her to tell us that the apartment that we put the deposit on was no longer unavailable and that they had a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom that her property manager would be able to give us for the same rate because of their mix-up (bait & switch #2). After sleeping on it, my wife and I decided to give the complex one more chance. So she calls the office to schedule a visit to see the apartment only for the property manager Angie to tell us that in order to receive the special discount, we would have to move in immediately or pay full price if we were to move-in mid-to-late July (bait & switch #3).I refuse to stay in a place where these type of deceptive and possibly unlawful tactics are used. Thank God we didn't sign the lease. Only the Lord knows what may have happened once they had us contractually bound for a year.So now I am out of the non-refundable $50 and my wife and I are still looking for an apartment.Thank you for wasting our time and money.

Parking is atrocious. No assigned parking spaces. Not enough spaces available for residents. Lease owners are required to have permits in their vehicle, however that doesn't guarantee a parking spot. Management has been aware, has not provided any solutions. One star is one star to many.

I guarantee you that this place will be the worst place you've ever lived if you decide to move in here. The management is irrational, and they can choose to add an extra payment on your rent bill. They close the pool as early as 6:00 pm, but they won't tell you that on the lease. The management is so arrogant and inconsiderate. I beg you to find another apartment

If I could give NO stars, I would. This place is a hell hole & will suck you dry of money. Rent for a tiny 1bdrm apartment is ridiculous. The neighbors are loud, kids running up and down the stairs and in the parking lots. There is dog poo everywhere, and the parking is terrible. They do not have individual meter reads for water so you will be paying for yours & everyone else's generaluse. Expect your electric bill to be about $300 in the winter even with a lower, normal thermostat setting. You can hear EVERYTHING. I'll say that. Before I moved out, the building I was in was infested with roaches. We would see them outside the apartment & I started seeing one or two in my actual unit. I asked maintenance to inspect, Nothing was done. Now i've moved out & got sent a billfor almost $500 for holes in the walls & other "damages" they came up with. Terrible, please save yourself the headache.

This apartment complex has everything I need, a washer/dryer, courtyard and allows pets, which was very important for me. The location is great and close to the freeway. It is very quite and clean grounds and they always have events going on like pool parties or other events. Neighbors are friendly and it feels like home. The property manager really cares and it shows in her work and how the property is ran.

I only chose one star bc I can't choose zero. DO NOT MOVE HERE! Ridiculous amount of spiders when I first moved in. Utter craziness trying to get a W&D in here, FINALLY received one TWO MONTHS AFTER I MOVED IN! Actually spoke w the President of Ardent over that! Staff is really nice (except the regional manager who is SUPER rude! Like really, you work at an apmt complex, buddy.) BUT NOTHING EVER GETS DONE. There was a broken elliptical in the gym before I signed my lease... IT WAS STILL BROKEN, like 6 months later. I signed a lease bc there's a tanning bed too. NOPE! NEVER GOT TO USE IT. IT WAS TAKEN AWAY AND ISNT COMING BACK. My neighbor STOLE a package off my porch a week before Christmas and the office said something would be done about it. NOPE! YOU GUESSED IT! THEY ARE STILL MY NEIGHBORS & HAD ABSOLUTELY NO CONSEQUENCES EVEN THOUGH THEY CONFESSED TO IT & I FINALLY GOT MY PACKAGE BACK, open of course & the boots had been worn. A pipe burst right outside my bedroom window and flooded the area for two days before they finally turned the water off. Parking lot was a sheet of ice! Dug a huge hole outside my window... Mud everywhere. PARKING LOT WAS COVERED IN DIRT AND MUD ALL SUMMER. ASK THE RENTERS ON FALCON HUNTER. They didn't come clean it up/hose it off. Nothing. If you're thinking about calling maintenance over something- Don't! They will charge you RIDICULOUS fees for simple fixes! Garbage disposal jammed & I fixed it myself! Thanks, YouTube! I have never been charged at other complexes for maintenance, but they won't hesitate here. Drafty doors, my electric last month was nearly $300 for a ONE BDRM APMT! Kept my heat between 68-70 all winter! Took damn near four months to even get a garage. Was told I was on a list and they would call me when one was available. Funny thing, when I asked each staff member how far down the list I was... No one had an answer for me, No one was aware of this 'list'. So they just kept renting garages out till I questioned again, and one randomly became available, through pure luck. Unbelievable. My lease was FINALLY up and I moved the hell out of there. Sent me a bill for $307 for hanging photos on the walk/nail holes. Not even joking. I'm not giving them another dime, ever. THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAM ARTISTS. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE AND A MONEY PIT. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT MOVE HERE! I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. ITS THE WORST. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE, YOU'LL BE HAPPY YOU DID! Sorry for the rant, but seriously... save yourself the stress. I wish someone would've told me.

This is by far the worst place I had ever lived. First off it is not legally zoned as an apartment complex as I was originally led to believe but instead as an extended stay hotel. Secondly these were brand new when I moved in and the foundation of the building was already starting to crack and the ground started sliding away multiple times. Throughout the majority of our lease we were receiving notices to enter from the property owners at least once a week for stupid stuff such as putting signs in the utility room, putting flaps under the doors, etc. Save yourself the trouble and find a better place to live, there are plenty of older apartments in Gahanna that are older but built much safer, cheaper, and run much more professionally than this place. Also the electric and water is sub metered here so expect to pay ridiculous rates, you cannot choose your utility companies because the sub metering companies are owned by Ardent. Also they let some questionable people live here. There was a lot of police activity while I lived here including robbery, breaking and entering, and assault. I had some good neighbors except for one who was trailer trash and threatened my wife because she asked her kid to stop looking down her shirt. I left because I did not feel safe living there and felt that the building was not built properly, didn't like being extorted on my utilities, and wanted better neighbors.
