Red Square Grill

Red Square Grill used to be a restaurant located on Bexley. Now I believe it has turned into a food truck located behind the Russian grocery store Romashka on 2400 W Dublin Granville Rd. Their new hours of operation at the time of this review are from Thursday to Saturday 11-6 and Sunday 11-4. I've wanted to try this place for soo long but Bexley is just out of my way. So when I heard that Red Square Grill became closer to me, I just had to try it! I brought my mom along to explain the dishes to me and what's good (short answer; everything). The lady that took our order is very nice and very helpful with understanding the menu. She speaks both Russian and English, so communication was not an issue. There's even an area to sit behind the food truck if you wanted to hang out there, which is what we did. I don't need the judgement, but I had a lot (it's been over 20 years since I've had these dishes) ... I had about 4 Chebureki (crescent shaped deep-fried pastry with meat inside), 2 Samsa (flakey pastry with either beef or lamb), 1 Lagman (think of a hearty soup mixed with light pasta - consists of meat, different vegetables, and noodles, VERY filling). I ate the most I've had in my life. Everything tasted delicious and nostalgic. It's not pricey at all and very worth it. With Columbus not having many Russian & Uzbek restaurants, it really makes me happy that this food truck exists and bringing a bit of diversity to Columbus. This is such a great opportunity to try a new cuisine and be exposed to a new culture that's really hard to come by otherwise. I really hope my review somewhat helps even one person not familiar with the food truck try it out. I will be back!

Thanks to a dinner party many years ago at Tammy's house, I was more formally introduced to Russian food, and it was very intriguing. Since that time, Columbus has sorely lacked on Russian and Uzbekistan eateries, so I was elated when I heard about Red Square opening here in Bexley. Really tho, in all honesty, I'm seriously drawn to new food ethnicities, so any chance to add another notch on my tastebuds, I'm all for. I didn't have time to stop and eat a proper entree, I just got one beef and one chicken Samsa - meat pies. The beef could use a more flavor; I did love the cooked onion mixed in. The philoesque dough was good - pretty soft and a good chewy consistency. I liked the smallest hint of a kick the red tomato dipping sauce left on my tongue. I'm really glad this restaurant has opened, and I'm definitely cheering them on! I look forward to stopping back and trying a meal. A solid - positive - three stars!

PSA: current operating days are Thursday - Sunday! I went with my Polish boyfriend and had a great experience. We ordered shisk kabob, beef samsas and beef stroganoff. He especially loved this and said it was very authentic (lots of beef and mushrooms and plenty of dill sprinkled on top. There was a birthday party that came in so the place was lively. We really liked the atmosphere and can't wait to come back.

Wonderful food and service.I had never had the opportunity to eat Russian food. It was delicious.

Very great place to dine in and to carry out! Their food is always fresh and yummy! Highly recomend!
