Ray Ray’s Hog Pit

I love BBQ. I have had BBQ just about everywhere in this country. Brisket in Texas, Pork in NC, Ribs in Kansas City and Memphis - If i have been there, I have searched out and tried the BBQ. I tried 3 things at Rays:1. Sausage link. It was ok. Not great, not bad, just ok. 2. Carolina Chopped Pork Sandwich. One of the best I have ever had. I like to make my own Pork and am very picky about pork being too dry, not enough sauce etc. This sandwich ruled. Definitely one of the best I have ever had outside of NC.3. Brisket Sandwich. I have been to a lot of BBQ places are good but usually they suck when it comes to brisket. The best brisket I ever had was this place up north of Dallas, I think it was in Frisco. That place had a line out the door and the brisket was unbelievable. Rays Brisket is the best I have had since I was at that place in Frisco. Not dry at all, flavorful and the perfect balance of fat and meat. For me, when I want good BBQ I like pork and brisket. Rays excels at both. I did not eat sides just meats. Can't wait to get back to Granville for more.

Ray Ray's is a solid spot for Texas BBQ and I've enjoyed it many times at their food trucks so I was excited to try their Brick and Mortar in Granville! The statue of a pig at the entrance immediately signaled how serious they were about their meat. They had a spacious indoor seating area with lots of games you could play as well. I tried a sample platter so I could try a little bit of everything. Their brisket definitely sold the show. It was tender and seasoned well without being overly salty. Their pork ribs were also very tasty and the chicken had a nice jerk seasoning on it, with pickled onions for extra texture. The sausage was definitely on the more seasoned side and their burnt ends were a bit tough. The pickles that came with the BBQ helped provide freshness so I could enjoy more meat! I appreciated their assortment of BBQ sauces and there was a sauce for everyone, whether you like it spicy or sweet! As for sides, their Mac and cheese was creamy and hearty, and went well with the meat. Their servers were really friendly and made sure we were taken care of, even though we rushed in 30 minutes before closing.

Great food and on the DDD trail. Ribs were soft and amazing. Cornbread is to die for. Service was average.

Went in there lookin for Ray Ray cause i heard the btch had a dump truck of a behind. Never found her, but i got a good handy by the dumpster out back by a woman that looked like Rosie o donnell. Hell of an adventure

3.5/5Service was great!Ray rays supper club hosts events. This night was French themed. The wine was great! Half the dishes left something to be desired. Of the 7 courses 2 were fantastic, 3 were good, 1 ok, and 1 was not so good. I was super excited because I love French food and I've been to France several times. It was ok. Overall as an event I think it's a good concept. I would recommend going if you know a chef that is coming in or a brewery that serves good food and drinks. Overall glad for the experience.

Came here to sit down and have some BBQ. Everything was great. Sides: Fries were nicely seasoned. Mac and cheese still had some texture to it and was nicely flavored. Collards were a little boring though. BBQ: Jerk chicken was still juicy and had good flavor without being too spicy. Pulled pork was the most unremarkable thing in the platter and it was still very good. Brisket was fork tender, perfectly rendered and Delicious. Sausage wasn't for me but I'm not a big sausage person. Ribs were great, tender without falling off the bone.It's not a table service place - it's a BBQ joint you don't really expect table service. Nice and clean restaurant though. It wasn't busy when we were there on a Sunday afternoon.

I've been a huge fan of Ray Rays since the days of Smackys. Made the drive out to Granville because they had wings and I was craving them. Ordered them with Meat Sweats..just not the same quality, at all. Dry, not smokey, meat quality seemed worse, and even flavor seemed off.Hoping it was an off day, but I'll stick to Clintonville.

Tried this for the first time, and it certainly won't be the last. Ambiance is pleasant and fits the menu. We had wings and fries, and they were absolutely delicious. Can't wait to go back and try more from their menu.

If you don't like Ray-Ray's, I don't like you. (Vegans and vegetarians have the permissible exception)FINALLY made it to their new spot, a far throw from the usual food truck experience I'm used to. The food is still top notch, however. It's out there, so I get not wanting to visit when we already have closer options in Columbus, but if you find your way in the area, I don't know if you can find better barbecue or better sides anywhere in the area. It's just... Ray Ray's is so damn good, you know?

Highly disappointed! As much as I hate to make this review, I needed too! This pound of brisket they gave me was basically all fat! I am an advocate for Texas BBQ and have been all around Texas for BBQ. I heard so many good reviews about this place. Maybe I went at the wrong time, but you never assume all fat is what the customer wants. It was really salty when we did have some meat. I literally had about 3/4 fat go to waste on my $32 pound I spent. If I hadn't left the place with my order I would have went back for sure. Like I said maybe a bad order, but I won't go back to find out!
