Ray Ray’s Hog Pit

It's a DDD ... Season 27, Episode 9 -- our favorite TV host, Guy Fieri gave an A+ to Chef and Owner James Anderson! He raises his own pigs for the succulent smoked offerings at Ray Ray's Hog Pit, a one-of-a-kind barbecue truck and now brick'n mortar in central OHIO! Guy tried the super-moist Mangalitsa Brat Burger and St. Louis Spare Ribs! Young man taking the order at the counter was pleasant. We got a Meat Sweat combo meal. Lots of seasonings sprinkled on all the meat, not just the jerk chicken - might've been nice to know that in-advance. Hot link was too spicy for me. And not a fan of rib tips. Wings and brisket excellent. Baked beans as a side were delish.

Delicious food from a food truck! We opted for the "meat sweats" so we could sample it all. My favorite was the jerk chicken- packed with so much flavor and so juicy. My least favorite was as the pork- was dry and just meh. I want to come back just to try the jerk chicken sandwich! I know it's a food truck, but I wish they had tables in case you wanted to eat there. We had to take it to go and went to a park nearby to eat it.

Ray Ray's Hog Pit have a couple location around the Columbus area. Last time I went to the Westerville one and been wanting to go to the Flint location. They have their food truck outside of Flint Station, just right in front of the railroad. Their smoker and the little stand is just right by.I know that I was craving for some ribs, but get torn between the spare ribs and the baby back ribs. Maybe I should just get both. But end up going with the baby back ribs. Since it is different part of the meat, I would said if you like a bit more meaty chuck, then baby back ribs would be a better choice. I might go with the spare ribs next time. I also got the Cauliflower burnt ends and waffle fries. I am not certain which specify bbq sauce was on it but it did bring some heat to it. Topped with their red slaw, which adding some nice church and balance out some heat.

Great bbq, super friendly and efficient service. We got the meat sweats, a Mac n cheese (med) and waffle fries (large) to share between 2 adults and had plenty of leftovers. Ribs, pulled pork, chicken and fries were the highlights. Fries come with a spicy dipping sauce that was super tasty.

Everything was great! I've had the pulled pork in the past, and the Meat Sweats had a great variety. The spice throughout had a little kick, but was just right. Surprised by the jerk chicken...I thought it would be spicy, however the spice and sauce complimented each other perfectly. The beef brisket and pork were both tender and the slaw was tangy with the vinegar. Mac and cheese very very good. The guy who took our order was outgoing and friendly. Precision brewery is close by, so you can have a cold beverage too.

Ray Ray's Hog Pit at Flint was open today. The scent of smoking meats was amazing. The food truck backs up to the old Flint station, just off Park Road. Across the parking lot is the new patio with plenty of tables donned with cocktail umbrellas.Right next to railroad tracks, the conversation is stopped until a passing train is gone.I decided to try the pulled pork sandwich. Cannot rave enough. Huge helping, enough for two or three meals. The price of their selections might seem a bit high, be well-assured, there's no skimping at RayRay's. Great barbecue here in Columbus. Wish they had a sit and dine in restaurant. Otherwise it's great to pick up and go.

Chicken Jerk is amazingly juicy, Waffle fries are seasoned, great service. outstanding foodtruck!

I love that they have cauliflower burnt ends since I'm vegetarian. They have helpful workers. The food was ready really fast. Everything tasted very good.
