I always assumed for some reason that Quinci Wmporium was a kitchen and housewares store; I realized I was wrong when I saw a posting somewhere from (I believe it was) Columbus Food Adventures talking about there Friday happy hour special. Intrigued (I'm infatuated with places that offer quaint happy hour deals), I quickly bookmarked Quinci, and had been wanting to try their offerings ever since. I follow QE on Insta, and I was completely engulfed in a picture they posted of their current Spring Quiche ANNNNNND the Sicilian Lemon pie. I started salivating immediately, and knew I had the try it. Also, with it being Easter weekend, what better items to show up with at the family table. Yeah, go ahead, I scored on this find.Deborah looks to run the front of house, as she's the lady I kept contact with via the phone to place and pick up my order. She was so polite. She was running the show when I arrived to pick up my goodies and was very thankful for my business. So, Gwen, did you like the quiche and pie? Uhmmmm, let me think ab- YES!!! So fluffing good, both. The quiche was not hot, and Deborah gave verbal recommendations for how to serve it if we wanted it warm; we warmed it in the oven, dear me, it was SO GOOD! I forget the exact components of this pastry, but it had plenty of eeg, spring veggies, it was incredibly decadent! I highly recommend you pay attention to their Insta page for any and all seasonal offerings, then buy one for yourself, and one for me. Thank me later. The Sicilian Lemon pie was enveloped with a flaky, but solid pastry crust - a great dessert to end the meal. Fresh lemon and zest - I can totally tell the difference between the two, and this sweet sensation was for sure the real deal! Fair warning, this was quite rich, and one piece was plenty. Sharing it with the fam and friends was the perfect solution. I was told - a year or so back, they have a Friday happy hour special for $10 that involved a charcuterie board and wine, so damn straight I need to go back to QE and check this out!

Yesterday I discovered this spot while walking along High Street and couldn't be more pleased to see Quinci Emporium join the Short North. The Italian bakery, coffee shop and wine bar has a little something for everyone - whether looking for some traditional Italian spaghetti, fresh baked rosemary focaccia or a glass of their house red wine. The employees were very warm and inviting and treated my friend and I like guests. We each ordered a glass of wine and were presented with their house red wine. It was full bodied and perfectly hit the spot for a late afternoon treat. What was even better was finding out it was only $5. We both look forward to returning on a Friday for their $15 wine and charcuterie happy hour or splitting a bottle on a weekend night. Also definitely want to try a coffee and bakery treat sometime soon.

About two months ago, I stumbled upon this store in the Short North. Quinci Emporium really caught my interest. The owner has curated really high quality products for the kitchen, dining, and home entertaining. They also sell specialty food products. There are beautiful salad servers, gold cocktail pitchers, wood muddlers, milk glass tumblers, and many other beautiful items inside. Since this is a small business, I'd expect prices to be higher compared to chains like Crate & Barrel, Williams Sonoma, etc. Prices are pretty fair, however, and some items are actually priced lower than where I've seen similar products. There is a small kitchen in the back, and I was told by the owner that she was going to start having cooking classes. Looking at the website, it looks like that's finally taken shape and there are a few classes up for February. At $65 a piece, this is comparable (and even cheaper) in price to other cooking classes in the area. The Italian owner really seems to have a passion for cooking and bringing people together to eat and learn. Fairly new to the block, I really hope this business succeeds. They sell some items on their website and even do registries. Check them out online or when you're in the area. This is a great place to find a hostess gift or something new for your home!

Molto Buono! I can't believe I didn't know this place existed and I'll be back to eat & perhaps take class to brush up on my pasta skills. They have unfiltered olio di olive, brava bella, summer truffles (a special) and a proper sized slice of parmigiano reggiano! I'll be back! Grazie!

Stopped in after lunch because the items in the window looked really cute. I was greeted by the owner of the shop and he was very friendly. He told me that I needed to try the almond cookies so I bought a pack of 6. He was right... they were absolutely amazing! Crumbly outside and soft and delicious on the inside. Great almond flavor too! I also ordered a cappuccino which tasted very nice and I could tell the espresso beans they use are top notch. They have a lot of great Italian products to buy (olive oil, cheese, spreads, etc.) and some great looking Italian pastries. By the outside I had no idea about all the Italian merchandise but the selection is wonderful. The cutting boards they have are all handmade in Columbus and the prices weren't all that bad. The house ware they sell (glass-ware, plates, bowls) would make excellent gifts for someone. I will have to make a stop here again to get some more of those almond cookies and to try out some of the other pasties! Also, the owner was so pleasant to talk to and I love stores where where you just feel comfortable going to.

What a treat!!!! I love to stop by here on my day off to indulge on Buffalo burrata or a curated cheese platter and a fresh loaf of ciabatta or focaccia. I usually cannot pass up on the lemon polenta cake and biscotti. This place is a wonderful place to pick up a house warming gift: wine, olive oil, dry pasta, or a jar of Calabrian peppers. A little piece of Italy in the Short North! They have the most gorgeous exposed kitchen and the display case is over the top.

This tiny shop has a little of everything for anyone. There's really nothing not to like about it. Between the kitchen ware, specialty food items, wine, and bakery, there's so much greatness. The staff and owner are so friendly and nice. It's the kind of place that you just want to stay in all day. One of the things I love the most is that everything that you see are items you wouldn't necessarily see at any other store in Columbus. It's a very nice curated selection of goodies!

Quick pit stop to this charming gourmet culinary shop during a recent mini visit to the Short North neighborhood. With tasty neighbors like Brassica and Jeni's, Quinci is beautifully sandwiched between the entree and dessert The crisp and clean Scandinavian-esque window display of Quinci Emporium is what drew me in initially. Upon entering this beautiful store we found high end wooden cutting blocks, tea towels, jars of beans of all varieties, pastas, wines, cold beverages and cafe drinks. The space also offers a mini kitchen which looked ideal for tastings and demonstrations. I imagine this could also make for a fun private party venue with the great location and exposed brick. My only suggestion would be that they could offer a bit more inventory to encourage the customer to linger longer - the business reminds me a bit of a slimmed down Goose the Market from Indianapolis -with a stronger European vibe. I can't wait to visit again as they might be new and growing at moment.
