Punky's Smokehouse is a new restaurant located in the former Kozy Kitchen building. Walk in sit down and you will be greeted for your order. They carry coke products and tea to drink. The menu is not large, which is just fine. I decided to try the smoked pork sandwich platter. With a sandwich platter you get two sides. I ordered fries and baked beans. The food soon arrived hot served on a tray. The pork is left plain with two BBQ sauce options on the table. Sweet and hot. I used the hot BBQ and while the flavor was "ok", hot this sauce is not. I am not sure if the sauce is house made but has a ketchup base flavor to it. That seems lazy and off putting to me. The pork is very good with the right about of smoke. The fries are obviously hand cut potatos and also quite excellent. My baked beans were maybe the best part of my meal. They were so hot temperature wise, that I had to pour them out on my tray. Overall Punky's Smokehouse is a great addition to Waverly and I hope they grow and get even better with time. If you are in Waverly definitely give them a shot.

To Hannah A. - Concerning Punky's Smokehouse and Catering, their BBQ sauce IS homemade. Once made and cooled, they store it in cleaned, sanitized jugs. Not only is it good, the sauce and meats are gluten-free for those who have gluten allergies.

*updated - Their sauce IS homemade , I was wrong! Thanks yelper Joan! -- I really loved the atmosphere here and the waitresses were nothing but pleasant and very friendly. I love the casual and fun feel of the interior and seating. It's so great! Their food was also good. As far as BBQ goes, its ok. I had the smoked beef brisket sandwich with fries and potato salad. The brisket was good but didn't have a ton of flavor. I used their sweet BBQ sauce, which I liked ok, but I don't think is house made, which makes me really sad that they don't since they're a full BBQ place. One of the waitresses refilled the bottle with a big branded jug of sauce, so I'm pretty sure they don't make it, but I could be wrong. I did like the potato salad, it's pretty close to what I make at home myself. Overall this is great atmosphere and ok to good BBQ. Still a great addition to the small town restaurant scene.
