Plank Road Tavern

We were back road trippin' up to Lake Erie for a few days of fishing. Found this gem for lunch. Such a beautiful place with rustic character. Was only able to try a few sandwiches and the chippers with blue cheese app and they were all real good.

From the outside, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. But when we entered, the place was fabulous. An old brick house and barn that has been wonderfully restored. The food was great and the beer cold and refreshing. Stop in if you are in the area, it was a wonderful experience.

I'll admit, when we pulled into the empty parking lot and I saw the building, I began to question our choice. Right in the middle of Tiny-Town, Ohio is the best little tavern with the best food and drinks!!! Steppin inside we found ourselves standing in what seemed like an old Irish pub...looked much like one you would see in an old movie. LOVED the quaint atmosphere. We were greeted and served by the owner. I had the Plank Tavern Burger.....not just any ole hamburger. Smothered in cheese, sautéed mushrooms, just the right amount of special steak sauce....couple they with a sour dough bin and homemade chippers .... I was most pleased. Chased that meal down with homemade bread pudding and whiskey sauce...do NOT Fail to order and eat this. Behind closed doors is the dining room...large..spacious....tastefully decorated for the dinner meal or a large crowd gathering. If your belly gets full...and it will....drive down the road and hike through the beautiful Howard Collier Reserve. We visit the area once or twice a year...this will be one of our stops!!!

Great menu, owner is friendly, unique rustic setting. We stopped in on the way to kid Rick concert up at put in bay and we had a great time at the plank. We will definitely stop back in on our way through town!!

This restaurant is wonderful. My husband and I drive an hour to just visit them. He loves their fish sandwiches and I adore the ice cream with whiskey sauce. There burgers are very good and the atmosphere is welcoming. You can either chill out in the bar area up front or go for the more formal dining room in the back. I definitely recommend a visit.

2 Fish dinners for under $20.00, Very good food and the owner came out from the kitchen to make sure things were just right.

Been here a couple times. The building and the inside is great! Love the character. Both times I ordered the Plank Burger and one of the best burgers I have had. must try.

Historic old bar with newer old restaurant attached to the back. The bar in front is cozy and relaxing. Has one small TV for sports. Come here to talk to the other patrons and have a good time. Bar tender very friendly and waitress was pleasant. Both enjoyed their jobs. The food is excellent and beers are cold. Prices very fair. The restaurant portion smelled like sewage pipe broken. This room has several tables and is more formal than the bar. It also is has more lights and elbow room. You can sit in either depending on your mood. The restroom in back was dank and moldy. Hold your breath back there. The location is great, right on the main road in tiny town between tiny cities. Great place if you don't need the restroom.

The Plank Road Tavern is a great place to eat. There burgers are the best flavored in the area. I can say every meal I have there is great. I recommend highly Plank Road Tavern!!

Service was great,food was 4 on a 10 scale.We will not be back.Just our opinion.
