Pizza Nerds

We were so excited to try Pizza Nerds for the first time. Nothing better than a pizza Friday night! It was packed which is amazing for them. The space is a full-on 80s/90s fever dream and I am so here for it!We live about 20 minutes away and forgot the pizza bag, so it had cooled off quite a bit by the time we got home, but that's our fault. Best part? It still tasted like outstanding!We went with a simple pepperoni plus a cookie, since we base most first-try pizzas this way. Everyone raved about the cookies, so that was a no-brainer. Ok seriously? This pizza was SO freaking good. Nostalgia old school pizza Book It days good. The thick crust is pillowy, like a focaccia. Perfect amount of cheese and cup & char pepperoni. The sauce is a perfect blend of sweet and flavorful (and not over-sauced, either.) I haven't been this impressed by a pizza in awhile, but this might be a new favorite... and Columbus has a strong pizza game. I can't wait to get it again. This is the special Friday Night pizza of my dreams.

One of my favorite pizza spots, and so glad it is close to us. Beyond the deliciousness, I appreciate that they have a text system which alerts you that your pizza will be ready in about 15 mins, they have a reward system, and the cookies are also great. And they are starting to do specials.Only negatives are that the online ordering is still missing some toppings/ items, and the phone line can get super busy, which also leads to backed up lines to pick up. But this has quickly become our go-to spot!

Mae tried Pizza Nerds last night to see what the hype was all about! We got the 1/2 Donkey Kong and 1/2 Captain Planet. You can order online, but there seemed to be limited options online (ie. cannot order cookies or 1/2 &1/2 pizzas) so we ended up calling in! They were super helpful and the pretty quick to get our order done. They text you when the pizza is heading into the oven to help you time your drive so you can pick up fresh! Out of the two pizzas, our favorite was the Donkey Kong. The Donkey Kong was DELICIOUS and I say that as someone who is not a typical pickle fiend. The Captain Planet was also good, but didn't seem super special. The cookies though were honestly our favorite parts of the meals. They were huge and soft. The flavors change daily, but we got the M&M and snickerdoodle w/ vanilla filling. They were quite possibly the best cookies we've ever had (and we've had our fair share of them!) I had forgotten my phone when I went to pick up the order so unfortunately I don't have pictures of the inside, but it was decked out in old toys (so many FURBIES!) and had a few arcade style games to help kill some time.

Another review for Pizza Nerds! This time we tried the monthly special called Eugene. It was a crab rangoon inspired pizza drizzled with sweet chili sauce. It definitely had a kick! This pizza was yummy & glad I got to try it but wish it was cheesier. I'm assuming it had cream cheese but it wasn't obvious (at least not in the one we ordered).This was the first time dinning in & unfortunately it was so loud in there. Mostly small kids slamming on the video games.The drink options are a huge bummer though.You can't even get a glass of water because they don't even have a soda fountain. You have to purchase a bottled drink from their cooler.They said they might be getting a liquor license at some point, which I hope so because a beer is what I want when eating pizza.I am a bit bummed that they got rid of salads on their menu, so it's hard to make a meal there of anything but pizza unfortunately.I still rated them high because I like the food & the people but hoping for some of these things to sort themselves out soon.

I absolutely LOVED the pizza here!We opted to do a deep dish and split the larger size. When you do that, it goes from 9 slices to 8. My husband enjoyed his Donkey Kong, and I kept it simple with pepperoni and cheese. It almost reminded me of what Pizza Hut USED to be like when we were little kids redeeming our Book Club vouchers. Buttery crust with a crisp bite to the bottom, a sweeter sauce, pepperoni slightly singed, nice and cheesy. Speaking of nostalgia, this place is heavy on it. Lots of movie posters from the 90s, Monica and Rachel's door from "Friends", 90s pop music playing on the background. Dude working the front counter was really friendly too. Looking forward to them doing a real sit down situation with fountain drinks. We will happily return, I'm thinking the Cheese and Chong. Wishing Pizza Nerds all the success!

What a fun themed pizza shop that serves a delicious pizza. So happy they have arrived in the CBus market. They were a long standing shop in Newark and recently opened in Gahanna. So happy to have a good pizza option that isn't like eating a cracker with sauce and toppings.They have a small dining area to eat in and also offer takeout. We called in our order to a very pleasant person and then upon agreeing received text message updates on our order. Our pizza was prepared quickly and was ready upon my arrival. I loved the pizzas flavor and ratio of toppings. They will definitely be a regular option to consider for my future pizza nights. I am looking forward to try some of their specialty pizzas.

The pizza from this spot is top notch. This is not hype-it's really that good. The crust is that perfect balance for those that like a crispy crust and those that like something a little more doughy. I tried their homemade ranch for the first time from the new location and it was 10/10. And the cookies! They're literally so delicious-always stuffed with some delicious something special inside like a birthday cake sprinkle cookie with a cream cheese birthday cake icing sort of filling. This new spot is great with some indoor seating and arcade games. The staff is super nice and helpful. The owners seem really passionate about their shop which I really value in a small business.

A fun shop with great pizza and giant cookies. Love the video game/movie theme decor in the shop and names of the dishes. Service was quick and friendly. The crust is chewy, buttery and focaccia-like. Excellent quality cheese and delicious fresh sauce. The pepperoni is cup style but not too greasy and has great spice. Loved the drizzle of hot honey. Cookies are giant, fresh and tasty. This is a fun new pizza addition in Gahanna/Columbus and I highly recommend it.

We ordered carryout - service was terrific, food was ready before the estimated time they gave me and the '15 minute warning' text was accurate. We had the Mario, the Donkey Kong and some cheesy bread. Thick crust was surprisingly light and airy, all were cooked perfectly, plenty of toppings and we liked the flavors.

I'm from Detroit and thick square pizzas are our jam. This is good pizza. I had 1/2 Donkey Kong and 1/2 Jazzy Jeff. Both were really good, but I'd say the Donkey Kong edged out Jazzy Jeff by just a hair. That burger sauce is special.
