Pigskin Sports Bar & Grill

My favorite bar in college is just as I remember it! Great service, good drinks, and great BBQ wings. But the star of the show was the burger! The patty had excellent seasoning and great flavor. It was cooked to perfection. I went for the basics on mine and it hit the spot! Food came out fast and there was some trivia going on. I always recommend this place!

I've mainly only came to Pigskin as a bar not a restaurant. This past week I came with my aunt for some quick food. We had a great time and it was really enjoyable. The service was great and the food was amazing. We ordered the fig and honey Brussels sprouts to start and were wowed by them. They were unique since most places do them with basaltic and bacon. We both ordered burgers. I really liked that all of the burgers could be replaced by the veggie Patty. We both got the goat cheese burger and my god it was good. Their fries were amazing also. I ordered a Christmas cider also based off of the waitresses recommendation which was also amazing. We had a great experience all around, I love pigskin as a bar and a restaurant and will definitely be coming back for a veggie burger.

Ironic coming from Pittsburgh, and being able to dine in at this time.We were fortunate to get a table outside, which allowed our dog as well.I wish there were umbrellas. It was sunny, and hot. We were 100% exposed to the sun. Others tried sitting outside but quickly changed their minds. The menu was small, but had some nice selections. The price for the items was also very reasonable, especially for the portion size. I will say we were overcharged $1 for one of our burgers, and dipping sauce was an Up charge. My veggie burger was 5/5 stars. Maybe the best I've ever had. I also loved the unique potato wedges served with the burgers.

Love it here! Delicious burgers and fries, my favorite burger in town. It gets loud on the weekends but it's a nice place!

Tony and I went here on Sunday, May 5th and it was not our first choice. I was wanting to eat Pizza at Lucky's and they were closed. It was about 1:30pm, and there was not a lot open or I should say not a lot that looked open!!! So, we were very happy when we ran into this place! Definitely a Sports Bar so we expected bar food.Place was relatively empty even though the streets were crawling with college kids waking up from the night before..so we should have known by that!!! The waitress was alone working the floor with about 6 tables seated. She wasn't the friendliest person on the planet, but hey its Sunday and who is happy about working Sunday? Right? So, I am not holding that against her.She gave us a menu and I was sooo sooooo sooooo disappointed that there was no pizza of any sorts on it! Burgers, Wings, Beer and Apps..You can definitely tell this is a College Bar.I ordered a Pepsi and Tony got a bottle of Budweiser, but NO STRAWS!!! I went with a Shroom Burger with bleu cheese crumbles and balsamic vinegar with mushroom gravy medium rare with seasoned fries. Tony went with 6 Hot Wings with Ranch for dipping and celery. Food arrived relatively fast, maybe too fast but it was done. The wings were wet but they had a burnt grease taste, I tried one of them..and one was enough! I asked for an extra plate and cut my burger in half for Tony to enjoy and gave him some of the fries. The fries had a burnt grease taste as well and the seasoning I could taste a little cinnamon, not bad!!! It helped with the burnt grease taste. The burger was good but not Great! Not enough to save the meal for us but it was good. The flavors were there with the bleu cheese and balsamic mixing together. The ticket with taxes and tip was $28. Would we go again? Nope!Too many other places for us to spend our Benjamins and nothing special to keep me wanting more!!! I hope your experience is better than ours!

I really like Pigskin. Very good fries and chips. On Tuesday they have 1/2 off burgers which are very good. On Wednesdays, they have a wing deal. There wings are pretty good. I love their barbecue sauce and thought it was good on the wings but also liked dipping my chips & fries into it.

Bummer. Expected more. App pretzels like eating packing peanuts . Waitress awesome, margarita belw average. Sorry

Visited here when moving in to athens, was very pleased with the service and atmosphere. Server Corinne was very nice and made the experience great. Stayed after the kitchen closed and had a wonderful experience with the bartender Tim who made some very good drinks! Would highly recommend visiting the Pigskin Bar and Grill. Also had 5$ miller pitchers which was a steal.... 10/10

The most tender juicy smokey wings I've ever eaten! Hey owners, make your own blue cheese and ranch. I would add another star. FYI

Everything about this place is fantastic! Literally the best BBQ I've ever eaten! Service is great very friendly bar tender! Homey feeling we are from out of town feel like we got right in!
