Picktown Palooza

Best value in town, $5 for 3 bands...WHAT?? Unheard of in 2020, let alone 2022. Beer is reasonably priced for a festival. Food prices are exactly what you would expect. Everything was good, we had a great time. Saw some old friends and made some new ones. We always hang out in the beer garden tent area. There are tables and chairs under the stars and under the giant tent. Don't forget the giant misting fan to cool you down on the hot nights. If you don't like to drink that is okay, there are plenty of kid friendly drinks. Just bring a chair or blanket and chill.

It lacks a certain sense of imagination. For what this community is now, it lacks diversity of musical styles, flavors and creativity.

$5 for 6 hours of fun. $10 for 3 day pass. Major name acts brought right to your backyard by the Picktown Palooza 501c. Food~ at least 10 food trucks(see pic) accepting cash and credit. ATM on site(see pic).Rides~ saw about 8 or 9 rides for kids(see pic). Nothing bigger for tweens. Kid Zone~ tent with activities for the very young kids. I saw kids taking pictures with a princess outside. Vendors~ not so much selling items as soliciting their services(small & large). Almost all had raffles or swag bags of goodies to give you for stopping. PRO TIP: get those pet treats. Alcohol~ Yep! They got a beer tent(see pic) in close proximity to the stage and food. So grub out & rock out. Seating ~ there is a large tent in a grassy area in the back for parents to rest or families to eat. Grass areas everywhere. Bring a folding chair(see pic). No backpacks. Parking ~ free parking right outside in the paved lot. Well marked overflow lots witin a very short distance next door. Entertainment ~ It's 7/2022 and the theme is 80's Rock (see pic). The Saturday night Sonic Slam ticket is selling at other venues for $65. Here only $5. Kudos to the stage setup, lighting, and sound system. You help make these shows awesome. Same rules apply as most events. Don't bring pets, alcohol, backpacks, weapons, etc(see pic). Volunteers, Security and local PD is everywhere so feel safe. More pics at #UpCloseSavor
