I have seen reels for Piazza Pelino on Instagram for a while now and finally had an opportunity to try it out. I am glad I did! The food is delicious! My sister and I split a sandwich but I could have easily eaten one all by myself. The flavors were amazing I didn't want to stop eating. I love that they use Italian flour and real ingredients in their food. The foccacia was delicious. We also tried two of the cookies. The almond cookie is a must try. I can't wait to go back and try the gelato. There are tables to sit inside. It is beautifully decorated inside with a small wine selection and some gifts you can buy.

This place is AMAZING! It smelled soooo good when I walked in. We got the Top & Fichi sandwiches- yummy. Loved the black truffle chips and the strawberry cheesecake with chocolate shavings was delish. The staff were great. Highly recommend

I kept hearing about this place. And I figured it was just the usual hype. But it lives up to it. Shares the little lot with Lox, so, free parking in the Short North. The lot was almost full on a weekday, but you should usually be able to find spots at off times. Inside, it was steady, but not packed. Super friendly service. Order at the counter from a limited number of sandwiches. They all sounded good. I went with the prosciutto and fig. It was excellent: perfect bread, perfect fillings. Combined into a nicely balanced whole. And, not small, as I had feared. I got a limonata with it, very complementary and very good. I got some gelato after because of course; it was a hot day. You can have two flavors; I picked lemon and raspberry. The medium was plenty, overfilled with those. It was also good, maybe not amazing, but I'm spoiled- my uncle has an ice cream place and they make gelato among other things. Prices were reasonable for quality and quality. I'll be back to try several sandwiches.

Excellent sandwiches -- I admit that at first glance I was concerned they'd be overly bread heavy and lack flavor, but that was far from true. The focaccia bread is light and perfectly salty, the meats and spreads rich but not overwhelming. We got the Il Top and prosciutto e fichi and they perfectly complemented one another, with the top being more savory and the fichi sweet (because of the fig jam). We were so full we didn't try the gelato, but we've heard you can only find better in Italy. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive (I noticed the owner on site, which speaks to their attention to the place) and the decor is so whimsical and fun (umbrellas decorate the ceiling, cool finds fromItaly, from wine to books to drinkware, are on sale on the walls). Definitely check it out! Next time we have guests in Columbus, we'll take them here.

Absolutely love this little short north gem! Reminds me of my visit to Italy when you would walk into a little store and they have the most amazing sandwiches displayed. And they taste as good as they look!

Whats not to love? Homemade focaccia and homemade gelato, all under one roof....Sign me up. No bread brings me more joy than focaccia. It's a soft, chewy, fluffy labor of love. Piazza Pelino brings easily the best bread on the planet, freshly made daily, to the heart of Columbus. The Della Casa is a beautiful sandwich. Prosciutto and pesto never misses. Don't let the size fool you, these sandwiches are deceptively filling. The charm factor is absolutely off the charts here. It's the ceramic tile, the umbrellas, and the Italian music serenading in the background. I've been to my far share of sandwich shops in Italy over the past decade, and Piazza Pelino instantly transports me there....one of my life's happy places.

I saw someone review this place on social media and I had to check it out. It did not disappoint!!! I love that they have their own parking lot right outside the business so no need to worry about street parking. Once you're inside the shop, it's pretty spacious and it smells sooo good like fresh bread. They have several tables too. You can order at the counter and then pick where you'd like to sit. I don't remember the name of the sandwich I had but it had cheese, prosciutto, and pesto, and it was delicious. It was pretty big so I had to save some for later. I also tried the pistachio gelato and it was the best gelato I've ever had.

This place was on my list for a while and it did not disappoint! Cute interior and decor, definitely Instagram-friendly. I got the Della Casa which was delicious. The bread was super soft and all the ingredients tasted fresh. The sandwich was on the pricier end, but was a decent size. Overall would highly recommend, and looking forward to coming back to try the other sandwiches!

There is truly nothing like an italian sandwhich with the highest quality ingredients! The Della Casa blew me away- it doesn't look like much but the focaccia, prosciutto, and stracciatella are top notch. It was the perfect amount! The calabrese was a bit of a letdown- it tasted like focaccia with tomatoes, which is technically what it is but we couldn't really tell there was nduja in there. For sandwiches that came to around $19 each after tip, it would be nice to be a tad more generous with the ingredients. It's cute in here and they have a nice shop as well, the wine selection looks great.I'm excited to come back to try the gelato!

It's a cute Italian inspired restaurant in the downtown. Good thing is they have parking which might be a nightmare on weekends. I have had their gelato. They change their flavours often. I like their ricotta cheese flavour and tiramisu. The options are limited though. The staff is polite and courteousI had to edit my review. I tried their focaccia sandwiches. We have tried 2 different sandwiches and they are subpar for the price they are charging. There was nothing good about their sandwiches
