I ordered $165 worth of wings and fish. The wings had a nasty spoiled taste. And it was like an "oh well the meat was fresh" deal with them. I'll definitely take my business somewhere else. Had to throw away the whole pan of chicken

I have to give this place 3 stars for 2 reasons: saltiness and professionalism. This is a "soul food" restaurant and of course soul food is African American cuisine. I asked the owner before ordering if there were any black people working there, he said no and that he cooks better than anyone else making it anyway. He is not african American so I find the idea that someone can cook another culture's cuisine "better" than them is already ridiculous. That's like me saying I figured out how to make sushi and now I can make it better than Japanese people, pretty offensive. Nonetheless, I gave it a shot. First of all, the flavors could've been good but every single thing is over salted. I ordered fried fish, fried okra, 4 wings, Mac and cheese and greens. Though this owner may be a good cook, there's a difference between cooking a dish and knowing how it is traditionally done. That Mac and cheese was not baked or traditional. It had no firmness. The greens were not made traditionally and were overly garlicky instead of savory and smoky. I don't think they used smoked turkey which is a key traditional ingredient and the okra was too salty. Everything but the greens and Mac just had to be fried, so if it wasn't as salty, I might have enjoyed the actual seasoning. I won't be back and word to the wise: it is offensive to say you can cook another cultures food better than them, but if you say that, you better damn well be able to or know what it's supposed to taste like at LEAST. I'm very disappointed and out of concern for my heart, I can't reasonably consume this much sodium in a day and the Mac and cheese is terrible so I basically just threw away $21. Lastly I paid extra for bbq sauce and didn't get it. I'm very disappointed.

We got the wings and fries and the fried tilapia sub. The chicken was delicious seasoned and crispy, cooked perfectly. Chicken came with a huge order of fries and two pieces of toast for $8 a terrific deal! The tilapia dub was fried perfectly, seasoned well with lettuce, tomatoes, banana peppers and sauce. The sub bun was crunch on the outside and soft in the middle. So good! It came with fries as well! I'll definitely be back

A friend of mine recommended me going to Pepper so we finally did and I have to tell you I've been all around the world I've had Philadelphia cheesesteaks but the quality of this food it may not look like much but let me tell you something you're missing out if you don't try it it's awesome their seasoning is fantastic and the service is even better bravo for a local business that knows how to do it right. They have a wide variety of many unique items that if you just go there I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Unprofessional, rude, sub par food, horrible service, no AC while having customers wait 40 mins beyond the time they told me the food was ready. Only reason they got one star is because the food was hot, but definitely bypass this popsicle stand if you get the chance!
