Fish and Chips The food here is great. I had chicken wings, fish, and fries. We even brought a couple of pieces of cake. I will definitely be returning.

OMG the Catfish is ah slappin! I've been lookin for that backyard Catfish fry fix and Pepper's is it! Some of the best catfish I've ever had in Columbus, I love love the seasoning. That cornmeal breading and has a little cayanne pepper / old bay seasoning sprinkled on it. However I did kinda feel Catfish pieces was kinda small but it's also was $6.99 with fries and not $10.00. So there is that and my only regret is I didn't order more. For me the Quality and taste supersedes the $7 bucks. So it's well worth it. Plus they did give me a crazy amount fries, truthfully I just wanted the Catfish.I think this just became my new spot and can't wait to come back and try the wings! It was so good I came back the next day. Definitely spend $10.00 on the Catfish 4 piece !!!**Update** been here 3 times and the consistency is not there. The first time it was cooled perfectly, second time could of been fried a little longer & the second time it was under done.

I give them 3 stars because the fish was really good. It loses a point because the fish was not as large as I expected. They made up for it in portion size of the fries, which was well-seasoned.The restaurant is combined with a grocery store, which is about 200 sq. ft. in space (including the aisle of food around the perimeter). Add the food in the center in the store and you have very little room to move around. You literally walk in and place your order. You turn around and can start grabbing grocery items. Not a lot to choose from, but enough to handle various cooking needs. The food only took a little over 10 minutes to prepare, which was cool. We ordered catfish, only to have to change the order after he updated that they were out. He only had one piece, which he threw in with our replacement order. We decided on the whiting an like I said, tasty, but rather skinny.Right behind him is a drive through window, for pick-up only. That was a good idea for call-in orders. There's not much of a parking area, but there's room for you to find a space.Still, it was pretty good.

Great tasting food. I have ordered several different fish combo dinners with 10 shrimp and lightly seasoned fries. Have not been disappointed. If you are a fish and chips guy, give this place a try.

Once again I was fooled by the positive Yelp reviews. These wings are nothing special, just deep fried and served on white bread with a big order of fries. The reviews talk about the secret seasonings, guess those secret herbs and spices where absent in the chicken I received.... it was just bland kinda dry chicken wings, not even worth making the drive over to this desolate stretch of Hudson St.Plus I really didn't appreciate the tone of the employee questioning me why I was taking pictures. Really, you had to ask me three times why I was taking photos and where I lived???Its really none of your business, how about you concentrate on cleaning the place and perhaps adding some flavor to your food.

I drive by this on occasion and it simply looks like they have amazing chicken wings. And they do. What's cool about this place is that they have a drive-through. I times the wait. About 10 minutes. Everyone has a phone to keep them busy. You'll be ok. For $11.99 I ordered 10 spicy Garlic wing dings. Mix of legs and drums and seasoned fries. These were really large wings. Definitely don't mess around. Spoke to the owner and asked him how long he's been open. 10 years. Something definitely has to be going right to be running well for that long. The area may cause some to just pass through, and that's unfortunate. So many nice small businesses that offer a great product. Definitely stop by again to try the assortment of fried fish. Next time.

Pepper's opened a while back, but being that it sits in the heart of Linden, it comes as no surprise that it has yet to be entered into Yelp. But never fear, the Mayor of Linden (self-appointed) is here! I finally checked this little carryout fish and chicken joint for lunch today. I was actually pretty surprised with the many types of fish offered. I'd list them all, but I don't have the menu handy (I did grab one, of course). They also offer shrimp, which is not a fish, but I guess Pepper's Fish, Chicken and Shrimp is a bit of a mouthful. You can order a ton of different combos, almost all of which cost $9.99, and feature some variety of chicken, fish, and/or shrimp. They also do larger bulk orders in case you are feeding your entire family, and I mean extended family, like last minute family reunion catering. Drinks are offered in can form, and there are a handful of fruit flavors in addition to the traditional favorites. When I say carryout, I mean carryout. There is standing room only. They also have subs and sandwiches, and a few cheaper deals on a specials board. I don't know if it changes daily or not. I think the name must be pepper's because of the spice blend they put on the fish. I ordered a 2 piece catfish dinner, and those filets, in addition to being humongous, were downright delicious. The combo comes with two slightly toasted pieces of bread, so I turned one filet into a fish sandwich with the provided tartar sauce, and alternated dipping the other filet into tartar sauce and malt vinegar. I wish I'd noticed the hot sauce they gave me, I would have rathered it than the tartar! The fries were equally well seasoned and I ate every last bit. Lastly, the service was pretty decent. They underquoted me on how long the order would take, which did cost me some extra makeup time at work, but the owner carried on a good conversation with me to pass the time. There is a drive thru window, but I didn't get to make out whether or not it was functional. All that said, possibly the best things about Pepper's were that 1) it's open until 1am and 2) they're going to start delivering soon. I love these new dining options in my hood!

I just love eating at Pepper's. Just wish it was closer to my house and I would go a little more often. Otherwise it's good food and good price

After discovering that Hudson Street is the unofficial fried chicken Capitol of the north side, it became my mission to eat at every chicken joint on this street. I've eaten at two of the three places that I am aware of. More than likely I will not make it to the third restaurant, because hands down, these are the best wings ever! I read the other yelp reviews, saw some questionable ones and totally agreed with other reviews. These are absolutely delicious. They're crisp, well seasoned, thoroughly cooked and still moist. I've been several times and they are consistently good. I've only done the drive thru, so I have no clue what the inside looks like. For my small orders it's taken about 7 minutes. Credit and debit cards are accepted. Once I attempted to call in a large order (over 35 wings/fish) but was told anything over $20 cannot be ordered over the phone. The wait was about 25 minutes. There's a small lot on the side of the building that you can park and wait in. I can't figure out the seasoning that sets these apart, its definitely a blend of salt and some other spice. Along with the wings are awesome fries. The fish is very good too, nice and crisp, well seasoned. Too be honest I'm not sure if they offer other sides besides fries. I stick with what I like, wings and fries. This is now my first choice for wings, I'm willing to drive a little further for these wings. Definitely worth the drive and wait!

With this place in Columbus, I do not understand why anybody would prefer eating Raising Cane's. This place blows that crappy franchise right out of the water. The building itself is unassuming and you can easily miss it if you're driving by. Call in your food ahead of time because otherwise you'll be waiting for ten or fifteen minutes, and there's not really a waiting area. It's well worth the trip because the food is actually what you would expect. The breading for the chicken and the fish is nice and peppery, but not too spicy for those of who like your food a bit more mild. I'm not as big a fan of the wings, but that's because I think most chicken wings never have enough meat to be really filling. Next time I'll just go with the chicken tenders. The catfish is also very good, and the prices on everything is very fair.Honestly, if I lived closer to this place, I'd probably be in there every other week.
