This is everything that you hope a small town, locally owned bookstore will be. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They were even offering suggestions for other local businesses to check out nearby. In addition to books, they have all kinds of unique stationary and gift items. Started my holiday shopping early!

A friendly little bookstore with a welcoming environment and a knowledgeable staff. And... if they don't have what you are looking for they can almost always have it there the very next day! Fast, Super convenient, fun to visit, and all around a good hangout. Find your next adventure inside!!!!! You won't regret it!

One of my favorite bookstores I've ever encountered. It's on the medium/small side, so sometimes they don't have what I'm looking for, but the kind and helpful staff are always willing to order something in for you if they don't have a book. My favorite thing about independent bookstores are the recommendations you get from the lovely people working--these people actually read and love books. They aren't afraid to give you a strong opinion, which I love; nothing infuriates me more than a salesperson who takes an "everything is good" approach. Typically, I get one sentence out ("I just finished ______, and really enjoyed it), and we're off! This exchange usually ends with me walking out with more books than I had intended, which I consider a good thing!Absolutely worth a stop in if you are in the Mount Vernon area.

This book store I every kind of wonderful. When you walk in you are always warmly greeted. The staff is always friendly and willing to help. The place has great selection and has that wonderful book smell. There are plenty of places to sit and read and just has wonderful vibes. We love visiting when we can!

Really nice bookstore with friendly staff and a good variety. They have everything from children's to adult books to religious texts (from many different religions, not just Christianity) to coloring and cookbooks. They also have a nice collection of soaps and lotions that are homemade. Everything is average price but this is by far one of the better shops in Mount Vernon.

Paragraphs is a lovely spot in a lovely town! Definitely recommended if you are sightseeing! The employees are very welcoming and accommodating. They have all the newest books, too. Check out their new window displays if you are in the area.

I tried Paragraphs for the first time in ordering a set of books from an Author I like and Kami and the staff were great! I will continue to order from them to help support an independent book seller. Customer service is the most important aspect of the business and Paragraphs has the best!

Absolutely love this store! I just went in and asked for three book and was quickly assisted to find all of them! They have reasonable prices and great customer service. Can wait to go back in, they have all kinds of age ranges. And they also have things to do crafts! Best bookstore I've ever been to!

I traveled to Mt. Vernon from Columbus for the first time last weekend. Paragraph Bookstore was on my list to visit. I am so glad I did! If you are old enough to remember what REAL bookstores were like, back in the day, before the Barnes and Nobles, then you will LOVE this bookstore! From the moment I walked in, I immediately felt as if I were visiting old friends. The atmosphere is simply amazing. Everyone is so friendly. No pushy sales people, just people who want to help you find what you are looking for....and maybe something you didn't know you were looking for :) If I lived closer, I would become a permanent fixture in this place! Please visit...you won't be sorry you did!
