Heard about this place on the golf course this morning and decided to stop by. Small place located next to a Dairy Queen business, run out of a trailer. Arrived and walked up to the window and was greeted by Kate, one of the owners. Super personality and provided a lot of information on their business. Got a sample of the brisket which was super moist. You could taste the cherry and apple wood they are using in it, great taste to me. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich platter. $8 includes one side and a drink. Had Mac n cheese as a side, good taste with plenty of cheese. Also ordered the beans they were good but I would probably add maybe some onion and some of the BBQ sauce to them. Also had Cole slaw which was the creamy version, it wasn't bad at all. Ordered a side of 3 wings, $1 a wing, great price, they were flapper's, the wings had a heavy breading to them but we're super moist on the inside. They also give veterans a discount which is a major plus. The business has been open since April and there is a great story behind it. Good People, Great FoodHowdy folks! I rarely give bad reviews, but I, like others here, was quite disappointed with my experience, after hearing it talked up on all the local Facebook groups.First and foremost, the prices are outrageous especially for the quality of food you get. Next up the staff mixed up my wife and I's order and we each agreed the food wasn't good at all. Reminded me of a school lunch in grade school.I'd recommend passing on this place and spending your money elsewhere, otherwise you'll come away with a much lighter wallet and an unsatisfied stomach.

I had read and heard good things from the local Facebook page so I decided to order lunch here. It's unfortunate that I did because my money and subsequent hunger could've gone a lot further elsewhere. I ordered the beef brisket meal ($8.50) that comes with a side (Mac & cheese) and a drink (can of Sprite). The first thing I noticed was the minimal portion size. One scoop each of the brisket and Mac and cheese. Next thing I noticed was the lack of flavor and dryness of the brisket. The brisket was very bland and if it were not for the Carolina Gold BBQ sauce it would've been tough to eat. The Mac and cheese didn't seem homemade but it did taste decent. All in all, I was very disappointed considering what I heard/read. Flavorless, dry brisket with minimal portion sizes isn't what one looks for in BBQ but we all have different palates. I typically give places at least two opportunities to win me over so I'll likely stop by again and update this review as well.

This would be a great place to open a BBQ restaurant. Not at all happy about the food. And I never expected to pay as much as I did for what I got. Save your money folks and go to Dickies BBQ or Moes.

This place is very underwhelming. I ordered the pulled chicken meal which was about $9. Hindsight, I wish I can pull my money out of their register for the highway robbery they pulled on me. I'm talking $9 for a scoop of chicken and a scoop of mac n cheese. Only reason I'm not giving 1 star is b/c once I put the bbq sauce on the chicken that was included, it didn't taste too bad. Saved by the bbq! Safe to say I'll never eat here anytime soon, maybe never.

So myself and two other guys from my job order this place thinking it was a good choice looking at the menu prices where ok so we thought hey let's give it a shot we'll when it arrived it felt very light not heavy like food should be but it wasn't good was bland no seasoning brisket was dry Mac&cheese was store bought baked beans was bushes nothing added portions were very little was not happy after getting the food this place needs to get it together make the portions bigger food needs better seasoning over all had to give you guys a 1 star that's it by the way that Carolina gold was just mustard sauce not real Carolina gold sauce
