Our Lakeside Diner

Got the BEST country breakfast at this well-loved diner near Buckeye Lake. The bacon is phenomenal - thick cut and fresh. Eggs were cooked perfectly. The portions are generous and prices very reasonable. Our server was super friendly and coffee and food comes out amazingly fast. Coffee cups and waters were kept full. The menu is a perfect mix of traditional breakfast options, but meats can include perch, walleye or bologna along with bacon, sausage or ham! Lots of interesting options. They have daily specials that I did not notice until on the board until I was leaving. The dining room is not fancy or trendy, decorated with an abundance of lighthouses and fish. Seating is comfortable. The place is dated, but in a good way. The restaurant is only a mile off Interstate 70 and worth the drive. It's in an old house, which was easy to miss. There's plenty of parking around the building. Restrooms are spacious and clean. This was the best breakfast I've had in a long time. Will return to try one of the lunch specials.

Mary and I stopped in for breakfast this morning. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated. Mary had two hot cakes and bacon, the hotcakes were ginormous, enough for several folks; also very tasty. I had the chicken fried steak, very tender on the inside, crunchy breading on the outside, very tasty; the eggs, hash browns, and toast were standard.

Great little diner that serves breakfast all day. I had the country breakfast this afternoon, it's a mix of home fries, onions, green pepper, bacon and cheese. I had them add the sausage gravy and chose wheat toast. It was perfect in my eyes. I ordered the whole order, not the half, it's a lot of food and couldn't I finish it all. My brother had the sausage gravy and biscuits which he said was great. Our service was outstanding also, the two ladies and the older gentleman that helped us were personable and professional. I will definitely go back to try their Rueben or Patty Melt.

Andrew, seven of our closest friends, and I spent the weekend in Buckeye Lake for our joint bachelor(ette) party. We stopped by Our Lakeside Diner on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm. We ordered a wide variety of food between the nine of us, but everything came out hot and mostly together. Andrew ordered the Country Breakfast topped with cheese, bacon, and sausage gravy and I ordered the 2x2x2 with a side of toast. Our food was delicious and Andrew said his was the perfect hangover remedy.The reason I gave 4 stars is because the owner wasn't the friendliest and made us feel pretty rushed. We originally called to make sure they could seat all of us, but nobody answered the phone after a few tries. Andrew and I arrived around 12:30pm to see if we could get a table. Once we did, I drove back to pick up half of the crowd while the rest drove in a second car. While I was gone, Andrew said the owner came up on more than one occasion and asked if we were actually coming or not because they were closing. Since they closed at 2pm and we all arrived just before 1pm, this rubbed us the wrong way.

Adorable. This place has its local charm. Let me start off by saying the portions are huge for a great price. The country scramble is a 1/2 size!!!!!! I always finish breakfast but had leftovers of these. Very small town old school watering hole vibes here. The tyoe of place where the waitress's call you "baby". Great breakfast and better prices. I'll have to try their lunch options!

Awesome breakfast. Great homemade food. Charming local family owned diner. Plenty of seating. Staff is extra friendly. Food is hot and portions are big. Very clean. A place where the locals hang out. Very close to Buckeye Lake and the park.

Take a step back when people treated people well, servers enjoyed their work and the food was good! We were staying in the area for a family issue and met at Our Lakeside Diner before heading out. What a treat..omelet was delicious, French toast tasty and pancakes light and fluffy! The server was a pleasant, smiling and attentive. Super nice place!

Stopped for breakfast on the way home from seeing Keith Urban in Columbus. Delicious! We will be back.

Delish food at great prices. They really have it together. Great teamwork and procedures get food out quick.

Great Food and great prices. I had the specialty burger, my wife had the 2x2x2 breakfast and my son had the biscuits and gravy. We all thought it was great. I will definitely be back.
