Otie's Tavern & Grill

My family and I stopped by Otie's Tavern + Grill after a basketball game. We stopped in around 3:30 PM on a Sunday and it was completely empty. We did not feel welcomed by the bartender/server as he seemed flabbergasted that we stopped in. We were close to walking out, but glad we didn't. The food was actually really good! We ordered the following and all really enjoyed our meals. Otie Baloney Sandwich - The bologna was SUPER thick - comparable to probably six or seven slices of bologna. My husband said that it was SO good! Pub Burger - Our teen son enjoyed this!Chicken Tenders - Our son's girlfriend said that these were really good! Grilled Cheese - This was your generic grilled cheese - nothing special. Buffalo Chicken Sandwich - This was really good! However, next time I would order it with grilled chicken! I didn't realize that it was served with breaded chicken. The breaded chicken was more bread than chicken. Other than that, everything else went well together in the wrap! We all had fresh cut fries with our meals and loved them! They were served piping hot and were SO good! I am glad that we were able to stop by and grab some yummy food here! One last thing that my husband wanted me to point out is that the majority of the TVs are broken...making it a little hard to watch sports games!

I had a fun time being here to listen to live music, but it was not impacting to have me wanting to come back. My wife and I got a burger. She got the one with a egg on it and I got the American burger. The waitress took our order and asked how we wanted them and we replied with medium please. As time passes by, we got the most driest, roughest well done burger we've ever ate. We brought it up to the waitress and she said she'll see what she can do and gave us only 10% off the bill. That was not enough because I'm not over exaggerating when I say it was that dry, I uploaded a picture of it. Not a drip of juice anywhere. Even fast food stops that serve well done burgers have some flavors or juice to it, this did not. Definitely not worth the price if they charge that much for a burger and don't cook it the way you're willing to pay for.

We needed to be at Darby High School so we decided to eat in Hilliard. Otie's is an old tavern- likely stagecoach Inn. Park on the street out front or in the back there is a public lot for the Center Street Market. You cannot drive on Center street; pedestrians only.Otie's is known for their bologna sandwich. I ordered the Greek gyro. Our waiter said they have a spot in the kitchen and a European chef skilled in gyros. So good! Warm pita, house made tazeki (can't spell it). I would Definately order it again! I substituted Cole slaw for the included fries. Creamy with large chunks of cabbage. I enjoyed it!Hubs ordered the Texas Cajun grill chicken Sami with onion rings. The chicken patty was thick and juicy. The Cajun season was mild but flavorful.The onion rings were thick and they seemed fresh not frozen.His only complaint was the coke. It was flat. In fact, he thought it was an RC. The mistake was NOT ordering a draft beer at a Tavern. ;)We will return and recommend this local establishment to others.

Nasty! Medium wings were ranch dressing w hot sauce. Drinks watered down. Bad service

Such a great atmosphere and server. Got us our drinks quickly. Greeted everyone that walked in the door.

I love the location at Otie's. This restaurant is located in the heart of Hilliard. The building this restaurant is located in reminds me of something you would see in New Orleans. They have a decent selection of burgers, sandwiches and other dishes.I had the gyro and loved it. Someone else who was with me had the cheeseburger and said the burger was only "ok".Overall, the location is beautiful. The service was very friendly and quick to serve. The food was decent but a bit overpriced for the quality.

While the food is good, the service leaves much to be desired and the whole place is shabby looking overall and just seems dark and a bit stale. The.atmosphere can be high voltage at times and often reminds me a lot of Bourbon Street in New Orleans kinda vibes. While I won't go out of my way to make this a go to destination, it can be pretty fun given the right circumstances. NOTE: Parking SUCKS but so does most of the businesses in Old Hilliard.

Food is decent. This place could be such a nice spot in Old Hilliard, but it's poorly run and poorly managed. It's almost always empty. Scheduled a private event there and they were unable to give me a singular point of contact throughout the planning process. Additionally, I had the date & time originally confirmed for my event by a manager and another employee, but when we walked in on the actual day of the party they did not know we were coming. They also told us we could have a room that we wanted, only to back down from that request once I followed up to confirm.Ultimately, April at the bar made the event work and was very friendly and helpful. But the rest of my experience with managers was incredibly disappointing and I regret trying to plan a private event there. I hope things improve but I won't be back in there.

I visited Otie's for dinner on a beautiful Thursday evening. This was my first visit. The restaurant is in a great location in Hilliard. There is plenty of seating and the service was great. Unfortunately, the menu options for anyone with dietary restrictions were minimal. I was really disappointed because I would have liked to return. I will say that the others that I was with thought their sandwiches were good. By the way, the menu on the website is out of date. I have celiac and a pescatarian. I had planned to order a black bean burger with no bun and salad. They don't serve black bean burgers or a seafood option to add to a salad.

Walking in the place is dead. There was no one in the bar area but a kid. Probably an employees. There one only two tables outside that had customers at. The staff so far is very friendly. We had Dweep, very nice and funny. Covered the bar area. They played some very good music. Beer very cold the pub burger was very good had flavor but not overwhelming. The wings definitely were good. Bbq was generic but very baby was very good had a kick to it. Not to overbearing. My mom's gyro was excellent. Seem like the chef is on point with Greek food. The bologna sandwich was very good to my dad said he would order it again. So far no disappointment. Staff was not lazy always around. Dweep was here when we need anything. Overall we really liked it 4.5 starts for us. Always room for improvement. No complaints from us.
