Beautiful!!!
Snow storm was expected two days prior. It hit about the middle of the night. They didn't start using this guy until around noon.
Beautiful in the spring
She's wondering why the floors have to creak so bad.
More snow
Inside of the windows with our heat blasting. I'd gander to say these may be inefficient.

We moved here in May of 2019 and couldn't be happier, though the pool area is missed with Covid, hopefully that'll get fixed up soon :).The staff are friendly, competent and eager. The area is kept clean and tidy. We have a three year old and feel comfortable playing with him outside by the pond (and feeding the ducks!). The Orchard is a nice community with friendly staff and neighbors.

"I LOVE our apartment" I hear this comment a couple of times a week from my very happy wife. We moved into our apartment at The Orchard on Wilcox in February 2020, we both are delighted with our decision and the wonderful people we have met. The staff and leadership of The Orchard are everything we would expect and want from an apartment management team. Our Property Manager, Maria, is the most professional and sincere person we'd want in the PM role. Her staff has listened well, responded honestly to our issues and took action on our requests as necessary. They are excellent. We have met a number of truly outstanding residents here who have made our transition to NW Columbus enjoyable and easy. We're looking forward to building our friendships and making more friends as we continue living at The Orchard.Mike

We have only been here a couple months. Lots to love, and lots to not love. Love the layouts and all the windows. Windows are old and horribly inefficient. Hearing and cooling. We haven't been here for cooling yet. But will tell you that you will be hard pressed to find a happy medium on how to hear the two story apartments. The upstairs runs 10 degrees different. Trying to figure out what vents to close and keep open to try to get the upstairs rooms to heat comfortably is like trying to do a rubix cube...blind, with no hands, inside a box. We have just stopped trying. The layout of the apartment, the grounds, the clubhouse area (the exercise area is small and leaves much to be desired), all are nice. Second level floors creak unlike anything you have ever heard. Remember those old stairs you use to walk up very slowly as a kid and they creaked so loud they would wake everyone up in the house? That's the entire upstairs...every single step. Everywhere! Even our dog makes them creak. Neighbors seem to think that picking up their dog crap is for others to do...even if it is right in front of your apartment. Be prepared to be vigilant there. I've said something to three people now who were seemingly going to leave their dog crap in front of my patio. Not to mention the common dog areas...walk over there at night and be prepared for that smell to follow you back in as it seems like pet responsibility is for the birds for many of these tenants. If that's what they do with their pet responsibilities, I can only hope they don't have kids.Update 1/8/17 big storm came in last Wed giving us snow that morning and all through the day--roads weren't touched ALL day here. Called to the office at 5:15 and Shannon tells me they are on their way to clear the roads. She said they had to find someone to clear them. Really? An apartment complex with this many units doesn't already have someone on stand by? No, she said, if they did that it would cost them too much money. So a storm hits us early Wed morning which has been talked about since Monday, but management decided to wait until late that day to actually get someone out here to tend to the 3"s of snow on our roads. These people suck. Not to mention their staff clearly do not mind lying to you--I say that, because no one ever came that night to do the roads. They came sometime during the middle of the night after midnight. Oh, and we are still waiting for our sidewalks to be cleared from each unit too--their own maintenance usually does this. Our lease is up in April and we can't wait to get the first thing smoking out of this crap hole. For $1200-1300 a month, you have way better options that this one. And if this is how Edwards' communities manage and operate their properties, I'll be sure to stay away from any of the dozen other developments he has in the city too.

I have lived here about a month. We really like it so far! Yes there are some things I would change (new exercise equipment, better windows to keep hot and cold air out, and soft carpet (or no carpet at all). But the positives our layout (Macintosh II) , the helpful people in the office, and our really nice neighbors make up for the little blunders!I will update in the heatig and cooling cost thought the year!

I've lived here for a year. I live on the third floor and we have had no noise issues. Yes, I can hear people talking outside occasionally but it has never been a problem. The units are nice and having laundry inside our apartment is great. Rent is not cheap ($1200 for 2BR) but I the value of the place just about justifies the cost. Being 5 minutes from the highway is great and 10 minutes from sawmill means that virtually anything you want/need is close. The only downside I have is the small gym and the small fridge my unit came with. Don't know if appliances are consistent across all units but our fridge is pretty small for 2 people to share.

Uggggggg - I hope you're hard-of-hearing if you move into this place. All the floors creek, the windows are as thick as paper (thus you get to experience everything happening in the parking lot) the neighbors slam doors that make your apt shake and the geese...well they aren't cute after they wake you at 6am every day. Prepare to spend big $$ on this "luxery" apt that - if you look close - have NO CLOSETS! Let's just sum it up this way - we moved into a 3 story, 5 bedroom HOUSE and now have cheaper utility bills then this place....

I was a bit confused whether to give 3 or 4 stars ....pros are the apartment layouts, really spacious units, well maintained and good looking community with the ponds and ducks, excellent staff at the office especially the manager Megan, great community center....the computer and printer can be accessed even after office hours unlike at other apartment communities I have stayed so far...and yes free popcorn too just outside the media room which is also open after hours. The gym though not big isn't that bad. Now the cons: very bad leakage through the windows. ..which they have plenty of and was one of the feature which attracted me to the apartment as more windows mean more light....but it also translated to heating and cooling issues. If you want hot water for your shower you have to switch off the heater 45 mins prior to your bath. For that you would have to keep an alarm to just do that. ...and go off to sleep but wait there's no heat in the house....how can you sleep in the cold..so you have to choose between a warm home or warm shower & yes horrible maintenance... Loved staying here other than that.

The location is probably the best part of these apartments, it's always a hassle getting anything on your apartment fixed I spent three consecutive days in the middle of December with no heat. There were raccoons inside the ceiling of The apartment I emailed multiple photos and videos of the situation and the issue was never resolved. The unit its self wasn't bad I just wouldn't recommend after myself living there 1 Year.

Went to this community yesterday 10-8. I was not greeted, needed to walk up to the girls desk. Well I received a very cold hello. I told the girl what I was looking for and my time frame, she opened a book and took out a paper and said this is all we have. I asked if I could drive by and she said yes, never telling me a code or assisting me in looking at the property, she could have cared less if I was there or not. She acted like I was bothering her. My husband works at Honda and I can assure you he has told everyone about his experience. And I noticed that Honda was a preferred employer, well if getting 100.00 off of your admin fee was being "preferred" than i prefer not. When last year when we look there we were offered the same 100.00 off and we did not tell them where we worked. i believe this girl's name may have been Megan, never was offered her card.
