Open Door Cafe

While staying at the Mohican Lodge, my wife and I decided to try someplace different for breakfast. We found Open Door Cafe on yelp. Though a bit of a drive, we are very glad to have found it! Very small, two booths and two counter seats, with some eclectic signs adorning the walls. The staff (proprietors?) were very friendly! My wife has a small appetite so she ordered their kids one eggs, toast, and bacon while I ordered their "hearty breakfast ". Our breakfast came out relatively quickly and was very delicious! The "hearty breakfast" is indeed huge and very filling! So happy we stumbled on this little spot collocated with the Lucas Community Center (LCC). BTW, we didn't have any cellphone coverage on T-Mobile in Lucas. We were very happy the the LCC had guest wifi that we could us.

Nice small place with welcoming staff and solid breakfast. Enjoyed a three egg omelet and sausage gravy with biscuit was nice. Has a community room for extra seating and parties. Take a look for pizza and subs later in the day.

Locally owned and personal business. Very involved in their community. Very good pizza and subs.

Daily Specials some of the best ribs you will ever eat served every other Thursday usually sell them out this past Thursday made 20 racks of baby backs sold out, they are served with 2 sides and a dinner roll its a must try. Also has sandwiches, fresh cut fries, fried pickles, mushrooms, onion petals, cauliflower, subs, pizza and much more.

Been here twice really like this place it's clean the food is really good and fresh the staff was great today and the fresh cut fries were delicious. Plus in these times it's really cheap me and my wife had our meals for under 20 dollars for us both. If you live in Lucas or driving through it's worth the stop.
