Olivesburg General Store

This place is awesome. I recently stopped and ordered a BBQ Chicken Sub Sandwich and added the Walnut Creek Chipotle Cheese to it from their deli. The sub sandwich was great. The worker was friendly, helpful, and considerate. I also ended up purchasing half a pound of the Chipotle Cheese to take home. My new favorite cheese. Absolutely delicious. I also ordered some kind of brownie sundae, but it was not delicious. The ice cream was great, the brownie was not. But everything else about this place was awesome. This is a very unique and amazing general store. I want to return.

If you drove by this place you might not give it a second look. If you want to meet some of the kindest people and eat great pizza this is the place for you. Roll and ride is a motorcycle game that gives a passbook and you visit places to roll dice for a score. At the end of the year your score is added up. Today I had no where to go but was looking for a ride. Open my book picked a number and headed out. The drive was nearly two hours taking back roads and stopping for the occasional picture. But nice cool day before the holiday. I arrived and a few people ahead of me including another ride and roll couple. My turn at the counter and was greeted with a hello and a smile. She proceeded to mark my book. If u purchase something at an establishment you are put into another drawing. So I ordered a personal pan cheese pizza. Truthfully it was a pizza for two. And quite tasty. While waiting I started milking around the store. They have a deli, ice cream, a liquor store, and a micro brewery. I walked out spending nearly two hundred in liquors I can only order online because they don't carry them in my area. Most of the alcohol was moonshine or sipping creams. If you're in the area stop in and say hey. I'm already planning my next ride down.

I love this place! The owners have made this an amazing place to hang out. It's so much more than a general store... it's a restaurant, bar, ice cream shop, music venue, and an all-around wonderful place to hang out and socialize! I've been very few places where the people are so nice. Every worker makes you feel like it makes their day to see you. The owner and her staff clearly love their customers. There is a definite family / small town vibe here and it is one of the most welcoming places I've ever been.As far as the food goes, who could complain about fresh, hot pizza and delicious ice cream!! All I have tried is the pizza and ice cream, but everything else looks and sounds great, too. No question... five stars on everything!

Really good ice cream with cheap prices. Friendly staff. They have many items in the store. It's really awesome to walk in and see all the seating to sit in and eat.

This was a great little place. Actually it's not little it's really huge. There were a lot of Knick knacks from everything you could ever need, like baby stuff, candles, (tons of candles), tshirts, and a deli. They have a huge beer, wine, and liquor section in the front corner. I'm looking forward to going back.

Well, it is worse. The employees are not friendly or helpful. I don't think the owners care much about the place either.The lot is not mowed or maintained. It looks like it could be abandoned.

I had the body slammer pizza and it was so good! I would never have thought trail bologna and dill pickles should go on a pizza, but it's 2020 and there are no rules anymore! I will definitely be back for more body slammer pizza and to try a traditional pizza. We did carry out and everything was ready as promised. Good service, good pizza!

The ice cream shop has been a favorite of tourists since I have been a child. Hand dipped cones are bigger than normal and the price is very reasonable. Shop also has a sandwich stand where you can eat a meal that will fill you up for the day for less than most fast food places. Just a short drive north of Mansfield and you'll be there. Antiques as well as locally made had crafts are also available. Fill up at the old fashioned style gas pump out front before you leave. Nostalgia galore!

I was a doubter. I have had grocery and convenience store pizza before. I didn't believe my family who told me that the Burg's pizza could be good. But last night I had to eat crow while enjoying delicious pizza! The 'Burg serves real deal, quality pizza that I would generally call Chicago Thin style. This is similar to "tavern" or Minneapolis style, but the buttery crust at the 'Burg makes me lean toward Chicago thin style. The sauce is tasty, the cheese blend flavorful and generously applied. I tried plain cheese and some sausage pizza, both are recommended highly. My family also had some Hawaiian pizza, but I side squarely on the side of no pineapple on pizza.The staff is very warm and friendly and the small town general store rehabbed for the 21st century was a unique and inviting atmosphere.I know it may be hard to believe that you can find legitimately quality and very tasty pizza in the hinterlands of northern Ohio between Ashland, Mansfield, and Shelby, but if there other doubters reading this review...believe the improbable and take a trip to Olivesburg for some great pizza!!
