We parked outside and let me tell ya... honestly, it didn't look like much from the outside. Very questionable, but we adventured inside and we're very glad that we did. They have a pretty standard diner menu. Salads, fried foods, breakfast, burgers.... the norm. We got the mini corn dog bites as an appetizer and then moved on from there. They were nice, perfectly fried... my wife got a salad which was exactly what she was hoping for. A lovely presentation with sliced chicken strips on top. I got the chopped beef sandwich... quite similar to a burger. Very good, and the fries were wonderful. Crispy, salty, hot and fresh. We left with a recommended slice of homemade pie for dessert. I chose the sugar cream pie which I found to be delightful. It's also called Hoosier Pie or perhaps sugar pie. I would definitely come here again especially to try some of their breakfast!

Talk about taste of the town? This place defines the term! I haven't given a review on a restaurant till now, however after the service i received and the food, well they have earned my business for any occasion! Really need to know there secret.. One more thing... The pie... The sweet potato pie! Was so good i actually had to have more for later and i never order desert! Im sure everyone in town knows because i tried to brag at the filling station and they already know. Can't wait to dine in and show off this taste of the town restaurant,to my friends and everyone will love the historical elements and caricatures of the oldest building around. The owner is a Guinness!!!

We were invited here after church by friends. They said it's a popular place in the area and, driving over, we checked out the reviews which were good and expectations were high. Nondescript, It looks like just about every small town diner in Ohio with a couple of specials listed on the wall. I ordered the pan fried chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. My wife had the roast turkey with sweet potatoes, and the beans. The plates arrived and, before the first bite, I was immediately disappointed. First, the chicken. I got a small leg and, what I thought was a thigh, turned out to be a tiny breast. The leg was barely lukewarm which had me worrying about bacteria. ...seriously! The breast was not much warmer and was very dry. Clearly overcooked then held way, way to long at too low a temperature. The green beans were straight out of the can, no onions, no bacon and no flavor. Same for the gravy. Not the rich aromatic sauce made from pan drippings but a translucent, gelatinous, corn starchy goo that reminded me of school lunch. My wife's turkey was that very salty pre-sliced stuff you get frozen from a supplier. The sweet potatoes were, again, right out of a can with absolutely nothing added to them. One would hope that a diner in a tiny town out in the country would have some good "farm to table" food. Can to table would be a more accurate description here.

This is the perfect place to regroup and refresh yourself after camping in Hocking Hills.Tartan wallpaper, check. Regulars sitting at the counter, check. Old lady calling us "Dear", check. Everything you need to feed your soul! Not to mention the food is good too. Burgers, sandwiches and pizza are a large part of the menu. The platters include fries and coleslaw. Hot coffee or some tart lemonade will quench your thirst.Of course no diner would be complete without homemade pie! I got a fat slice of pecan pie that was out of this world!

I really like the Old Town Diner. They have a massive menu of great selections. Good attentive service. The steak and egg breakfast is so generous and delicious. The sausage gravy is amazing, oatmeal is great, coffee is good, omelets are excellent and they will make them to order.I still have not tried the Fried Chicken, which is pan fried fresh on Sundays. I really need to do this soon. It looks amazing!

I really like this place. The people are very nice and the food is great. The only bad thing is the service isn't that good and you wait forever for your food. They also tend to mess your food up. Pizza undercooked, pizza the outside part is burned to a crisp.
