The apple crumb pie was amazing, and reminded me of my grandma's apple cake, stuffed full of cinnamon and apple flavor. I also got the maple pecan pie, which was a little too sweet for me - it's basically filled with maple caramel, so there's a lot of sugar - but would probably work for others with some unsweetened coffee or tea. Pickup was super easy, and the people working the booth were well organized and friendly.

We came across Ohio Pies at the Pearl Market, where the booth was absolutely hopping! I think we pretty much all went "Oooo Pie!" to one another and then we promptly went over to peruse the menu board. We opted for cherry hand pies and the Buckeye Pie slices, and they were both fabulous! I didn't realize it at the time, but once I perused the label on the Buckeye Pie slice box, I found out that it is gluten free and vegan too. I also thought it was neat that they also offered some savory options too, which we'd be curious to try in the future. We will definitely be watching for them again!

Was introduced to Ohio Pies while perusing the Pearl Market. Tried a sample of their Buckeye Pie, and whao. WHAOOOOOOO :D that's some top sh**! I'm pretty sure I heard the gal right that the pie was gluten free and dairy free, too. BOOM! I could not resist, so I bought myself a piece and ate it later that evening. Head up: since that pie was made with coconut oil, it was super prone to melting, so eat it fast, or store it in the fridge. Emily, owner/baker extraordinaire, bakes out of her home and sells by order and at several farmers markets around Columbus. I PLAN on tracking her pies down again before summer is over!! She has several flavors to pick from, and if they taste anything as outstanding as the peanut butter one, I'm sooooooo sold!!!

If you come across Ohio Pies at a festival, you should grab yourself a slice. I met them at the German Village Makers market. She was serving up a variety of fruit pies and running low on stock mid-afternoon (Yay!). What really sold me was that she had Passion Fruit curd pie. It was tart and creamy with a wonderful crust and oh so good! Looking forward to trying some other varieties.

This is a food stand that is at the Pearl Alley Farmer's Market this summer. She also sells pies at other markets including Westerville, by order and at Bexley Natural Market (see her internet site for info). All organic.I tried the Nepali veggie hand pie and the strawberry rhubarb pie. The crest was very flaky and delicious. The veggie hand pie had a nice kick to it. I will definitely be looking for her food stand this summer!

Neither my now-husband or I are huge cake fans, so we knew we wanted to do something a bit different for our wedding desserts. We had first heard of Ohio Pies from the Clintonville Farmer's Market, and covertly tasted them in the months leading up to the wedding (ordering a slice or two at a time from the farmers market). Everything we tasted was amazing, and as a bonus she offers a good selection of gluten-free pies as well for those with dietary restrictions. If you're concerned about hiring a home baker for your wedding or event, don't be. Emily is fantastic, professional, and was so accommodating to my requests. She gave me a huge selection of flavors, beyond what was on her standard October menu. She delivered 25 pies to our venue, with instructions on storing them until serving. She was incredibly responsive by email as we were planning, and generally super sweet to work with. Everything tasted amazing (of course!), and we had so many compliments from our guests on what fun it was to taste different flavors all night. We highly recommend Ohio Pies for your dessert needs, big or small!

THESE PIES so delicious and adorable. They are miniature and make perfect gifts! It's the perfect size to split between 2-3 for dessert. Will be getting all of my pies here

I cannot say enough good things about Ohio Pies! Emily, the owner, bakes them out of her house. I wanted to get a pie for my birthday on short notice and e-mailed her on a whim the day before we wanted to pick it up. She was so sweet and accommodating and not only offered to do it, but went out of her way to make a cherry pie, which was my first choice, because it was my birthday. This was the BEST pie I've ever tasted. The crust was perfectly buttery and flaky and the cherries tasted tart and fresh. And I'm pretty snobby about desserts and love to bake myself. Prices are so reasonable too! This may become our new tradition for birthdays and special occasions. Highly recommend ordering from her or seeking out her pies at the markets and Bexley co-op when they are available!

I had the pumpkin pie. Certainly good quality ingredients, but if you want that a real, "down home" authentic pie, this is not it. You'd be better off to make your own crust/filling (practice make perfect) or go to a local that bakes/sells delicious pies and save yourself a TON of money. This is just my opinion, but the pumpkin filling falls horribly short on flavor, and the crust is more of a store-bought puff pastry texture. Disappointing.
