Oakhaven Golf Club

Very unassuming when you look this place up but it's a worthwhile course to play. The course is well kept overall and offers a leisurely game. We did have a lot of sprinklers come on during play but at a July "feels like" temp of 97 out it was kind of welcome. Only dislike here was the cart. I had a choice of two upon walking out of the clubhouse. Both equally muddy and just needing at least a quick spray down to maybe be okay aside from being very loud. Definitely on their last legs of a hard life. Regardless, a nice course to get your game on in Delaware when you don't want to fork over the premium for all the too-fancy places in the vicinity.

I golfed there 6/22/24 with some work friends and played 18. We are 10-14 handicap golfers with many years of golf behind us. We have all golfed here in the past 25 years.The parking lot is un-organized and messy, and the landscaper appeared to have forgotten about weed control around the clubhouse - for a few weeks - as there were some big weeds in the mulch. It just had no curb appeal.You're right about the lady at the front desk. No personality. Here's your receipt and the carts are out there.The carts are just average, with no special features or 'bells and whistles'. The course was in fairly decent shape, and I thought the greens were fast and true.However, for the steep price for 18 and a cart, I was expecting a lot more.I probably won't be back, as I think Bucyrus and Kings Mill are better values, and Mill Creek is a hidden gem.

Very disappointed in Oakhaven. Great course but they over book their Tees. It was my birthday and I booked 18. I was behind a high school school bus of kids and waited 30 mins each T. Unacceptable

The course is in very good condition. Enjoyable round. I play here just a few times a year. I just don't understand why the front desk staff is always so unfriendly. As a business you should be welcoming golfers to play your golf course. So unprofessional.

Had great time today. Play was a little slow but the course is in excellent condition. The shop staff are friendly and they have plenty of help on the course. We definitely will be back.

I haven't played golf in a while. I gave it up because there was too much time spent standing around. Today, was a nice day so I thought I'd give Oakhaven a try. I didn't make it past the clubhouse. The two knuckleheads in the Pro Shop couldn't collect a green fee from a lady who made a reservation in advance. I am standing there, apparently invisible, while the 2 of them try to figure how to work their computer. I waited as a line formed. When they failed to acknowledge us, I finally decided to leave. You'd think 2 adult men could manage to help more than 1 customer at a time. It was a painful reminder of the standing around.
