Oak Hill Barbeque

I was so excited when I saw this guy was open for walk in business again. My family used to order from here fairly often, and he was catering only for a while, so yay!Honestly, I usually come for the sides, but I am also a fan of the wings. Wings are huge, and I'm good with 1 or 2 only. He makes the best coleslaw, no kidding. It's not overly mayo drenched, but not vinegar based either. I don't know just get some. I also got the smoked cabbage, and that was wonderful as well. Just for fun, I tried the smoked chicken salad. This is very smokey, but, again, I loved it. I do like smokey flavor. The menu is pretty focused - barbeque, wings, sides, some fun specials. Small dining areas, both indoor and outdoor. A meal can add up a bit, but I think it's worth it. Not sure this is my best review, but I'm too excited that he's open to be coherent.

Might want to call ahead before making the drive over. Drove over at 2:30 on a Wednesday and they were closed.

I've travelled all over the USA and had barbecue in Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia and Now, OHIO. Found this little gem after a weekend getaway to Columbus. The barbecue was delicious, great flavor in the sauces, cornbread was the best I've ever had, dirty beans were very tasty, even the chocolate pie was homemade. Great location, I highly recommend.

This place does an amazing job at smoked meats! I got the sampler platter , which included 3 meats and a sample of all 6 sides and cornbread for $15. I also got the smoked cheesecake and a banana pudding. All of which were homemade and delicious !!

So I drove all the way out here on my west to find awesome barbeque around central Ohio. When I first arrived, the first thing I noticed were the dirty tables. I was trying to find one to sit at and it was like trying to find gold in California. I then. Noticed all the news personalities that had been here on the wall. I ordered the brisket with fries and one wing. I asked for the barky brisket but got a lot of fat. So that was a minus. My mouth was all set for some awesome cue once I got past that. Well I was not too impressed by the brisket. It wasn't really tender and it tasted kind of off. Not sure if they seasoned it enough. The fries were good but they put a lot of salt in them. The wings though. I will say I would drive back for the wings. They tasted AMAZING! If crack were chicken wings, these would be the wings to have everyone in a 12 step recovery program.

Quite good food. sometimes cold. I love the BBQ but I did notice the lack of Oak and Hill which was disappointing. False advertising, huh.

Well, had to take my brother to see the FatMan finally. Of course had to get him the FatMan Special. He was more than happy afterwards. Had to wheel him out. Food is always great. The FatMan is always there to talk to you. He is what every business owner should be, completely down to earth and a great guy. Thanks FatMan!!!

A kitchy little place in Sunbury with fantastic bbq!!!!You can find it by smell. I had a pulled chicken taco, had cheese and coleslaw. Chicken was great!! Hubby went for brisket Sammie, baked beans and smoked cabbage( out of curiosity) was all great! Brisket was melt in your mouth tender!Only surprise was that the place wasn't crowded. We know where to go for great bbq!!!

Awesome food. The brisket and pork are my go to. I wish they didn't flash fry their chicken after it's already been smoked. Almost all the sauces are made in house

They appear to be closed indefinitely. Website, Yelp and Google say "open" but the place was closed at lunchtime on a weekday.
