North Main Cafe

Adorable, always busy and worth it! We were blown away by how busy this little cafe was on a rainy Saturday morning but the quality of our meal explains why. Order at the counter, find a seat inside or on the patio. Take in the chic farmhouse vibes, then enjoy the heck out of your meal, beverage and/or treats - all are superb!You know a place is good when they sell cute branded stickers. Next time I'm buying one!

Great place. Only serves breakfast on Saturday so get there before 12:30 when they close. Get the Omelette Your Way or the Gold Rush Bowl. Both are very good and served nice and hot. If you can sit on the patio - do it. Then go the the Famers Market nearby.

Really cute little cafe with lots of choices for breakfast! The staff was very friendly and our food came out quite fast. Very laid back atmosphere.I loved that they have a kid's breakfast special. They also have specialty seasonal coffee drinks.I had the veggie avocado toast with an egg added and the almond joy latte and they were both delicious. Their specialty mayo is also delicious...not sure what is in it, but it is sweet.

Great ambiance! Love the old school new school decor fusion. Maybe I ordered wrong but my veggie avocado toast was slim pickings. Slight shmear of avocado, greens, tomato slice and feta on a thin cracker type toast piece.... For $9.50 I was underwhelmed. Cohort loved his quiche which came with hash browns

If you're looking for good coffee and a sandwich in Mount Vernon this is the place! Note that this is a "order at the counter" restaurant, so you will wait in line and it does take time to get your order. Everything is fresh made and they are often very busy, so you have to go in with patience! But the food/drink is great and the workers are friendly.My favorite is the Main Street Mocha and Cran Turkey Wrap. Yum! The only negative I can give (hence reduction of 1 star) is that they close FAR too early on a Saturday (12:30pm) and are not open on Sunday. I cannot tell you how many times we've forgotten they close early and have arrived at 12:45pm on a Saturday and there are other people also standing outside wondering why they are closed for lunch. Can we at least stay open until 1:30pm on Saturday ??? Otherwise, an amazing option in Mount Vernon for breakfast, brunch or lunch (during the week only)!

Very tasty Reuben sandwich. Beautiful patio location, as well as inside seating. Nice waitress, too!

Both the taco salad and chef salad were good! Friendly helpful staff. Busy little cafe so be prepared to wait a bit.

The best chicken noodle soup I ever had: sometimes this kind of soup is just basically salt flavor. This soup had so much flavor! Hearty and obviously house made. Sugar cookie was also heavenly. Nice place, traditional cafe in downtown. Good place to meet for lunch! Free wifi. Plenty of seating inside and an outdoor seating area overlooking Main St.

I'm not a fan of this place. I think their food is subpar and overrated. However, I went there for a birthday lunch and went with a last resort thing. I ordered the quiche. And I was surprised at how good it was. So that'll probably be my go to meal there.

Hands down worth a visit. Coming up from Orlando for work, looking for a good place for brunch. Absolutely scrummy. Very clean inside and in a lovely part of this small town. The food is very fresh and presumably handmade. A friend and I enjoyed the CBR and quiche which were both fantastic. The drinks and food are very affordable, what we got here would be so much more back home. Definitely recommend if you end up around this area.
