We stayed the night in St. Clairsville and found this quaint diner downtown. This was the small town experience I craved. We had a great breakfast for a very reasonable price. The ambiance was perfect. Most everyone knew each other in the diner and were incredibly friendly. The service was outstanding. My ham and cheese omelette was great but the crispy home fries stole the show. My partner had eggs and bacon which were perfectly cooked and delicious. If you need breakfast or lunch in St. Clairsville, this is the place to come.

Loved this place! Service was amazing and food was delicious! Everything is made from scratch, which takes time, so don't go in expecting fast food timeline. So worth it!

Where to begin? The ambiance is awesome. You get the diner vibe, with very cool mid-century designs on the table tops, your choice of booths or tables and a cool old-school tin ceiling. Large windows let you see outside. Even though only one server was working, you can tell she was a pro. There were several tables occupied in the diner yet none of us waited for anything. Drinks were refilled promptly. Food came out quickly. And she was super friendly. Was a really great experience. She kept checking in to make sure everything was ok. As for the food... 5-star hands down. Look at my salad... in most chain places you'd get an iceberg salad for $5 or more. This elegant lettuce leaf salad with cheese, tomatoes, fresh cucumbers was less than $4! Then the cheeseburger was out of this world. Better than I'd make at home. Fresh meat, hand pressed into a huge patty that was so juicy. Made exactly how you want. Fresh bun. Hand cut fries were delicious as well. It isn't often I can say a place is 5-star but I had an extraordinary meal here and great service. I definitely recommend.

Newellstown Dinner is a gem. It's quaint and comfortable with a hometown feel. Service is always great and has that neighborly touch. Food is ok. What you'd expect from a quick neighborhood diner. The experience is wrapped around the hometown nostalgia. The diner could use a facelift and the menu needs some updates. Every local loves this place, but at the same time, we want to have a variety and we long for something new to look forward to.

Taking a break from local history in the cemetery and the courthouse next door, we stopped in here. Lovely toasted grilled cheese with pickles on Texas toast with a good char. They make their own potato chips which are really excellent! And, we are still raving about those chips several days later....

Stopped in on my way across country. 6 Tables, 6 Booths, a small counter, and a wealth of nostalgia. Turkey Club was recommended and was goods. Onion rings and light and crispy. Fish Sandwich also very good.

We stopped in this little town on our way back to Columbus and found this diner for lunch, we had fish sandwiches with slaw, chips, and a soda. The food was great, the service was great, and the price was very reasonable! If it wasn't so far away, I would go there regularly for lunch!

Just left there. Was not happy. Sat there for over an hour when the waitress finally came back to the table and said she lost our order. She should of realized it when another table was served that came in after us. Will not be back!

My family and I decided to try out this restaurant for the first time and what ended up for the last time. Our experience started with the waitress asking what we wanted to drink she brought the drinks and no silverware to stir my coffee. I had to go to the counter and get my own silverware. Finally she took our order and time kept passing I finally got another cup of coffee, after more than an hour had passed I was starting to get a little upset because of such a long wait and I said something to the waitress and she laughed and after even more time passed then a large group of customers that came in well after us received their order. The waitress finally came to the table and apologized for losing our order for four people. I asked to speak to the manager and they didn't get her so I waited till I think that I got to talk to the manager. Her response to my complaint was that I don't say anything to the waitresses when this kind of service happens. I work with the public and I am a manager myself I couldn't believe the answer I received , This is a customer experience that I would never let happen at the business I work for, we actually care about our customers experience. I wouldn't recommend eating at this restaurant to anyone.
