New China Express

Stopped by for a quick lunch plate. Kung pao chicken with white rice lunch plate. Great dish with plenty of chicken, nice spicy touch of gravy. Went well with the rice. Only downside, probably too many sliced carrots. Would have liked sliced celery for a little crunch. Was $8.50 for the lunch plate. Plenty of food. Will definitely stop in again.

Every time we visit this place, the food is absolutely delicious! They have such a wide variety of dishes to choose from. While you wait for your food, you can enjoy the tv. The staff is super friendly and always ready to help. The restaurant has a casual vibe, and the prices for food and drinks are very reasonable, which makes it easy to come back again and again!

I really enjoyed my takeout from this restaurant, although I SWEAR it's called "Sushi Express" now. I honestly only walked in bc I thought they had sushi... they don't, lol.I decided to try their food, which is Chinese/ American Asian style. I really enjoyed the wonton soup which was full of vegetables, and the wontons had meat in them. The egg roll was crispy and delicious and the pork steamed dumplings were huge and filling! I will be back for more, just know, there is no sushi here, despite the name.

Best Chinese carry out I've had in Columbus. No frills, just great flavor. Staff is always kind and service is quick. Portions are absolutely huge- maybe 3 meals out of one order. It's quick and relatively cheap and worth it.

We've been coming to this restaurant for a dozen years or more and have never been disappointed. Generous portions (always leftovers for the next day's lunch), fresh food, great variety, fast service, and tasty. Can't say enough good about it.

As someone who grew up in Westerville I've been eating at New China Express for well over a decade. In all of that time I've tried a handful of dishes. Including orange chicken, sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, fried wontons, and wonton soup. The sweet and sour chicken here is simply unmatched. The chicken is so perfectly battered and fried to the best crispness. The sauce is sooooo thick, red, sweet, sour, everything. It's all I order now after trying other things, it's just perfection. The fried wontons are my favorite appetizer, super crispy exterior with a juicy flavorful filling. I can't recommend this place enough if you're looking for some great chinese fare. The one thing I'll say about this specific location is that it's in a bit of an odd location now that it moved after Kroger bought the strip they were in.

I have loved New China, since I went going there since 2014, it is amazing, fast Chinese food!! They have a good deal for college students! My favorite dish is the sesame shrimp with fried rice or lo mein, with an egg roll on the side of course!! It is cheap and the portion size is incredible!! I love their new, clean location they built a few years ago!! Keep up the amazing food, y'all!!

Decided stop in for a bite to eat. Got the lunch special. Chicken fried rice, an egg roll and a drink for $5.99. Fried rice portions are huge. Plenty of chicken and fresh vegetables in it. The egg roll is a vegetable version that was super crunchy. Delicious!!! Service is always super fast and friendly.

My husband and I ordered take out from this location. I got sesame chicken and rice, husband ordered sweet and sour pork and rice, and we ordered dumplings. The sesame chicken was awful. Hard little nuggets of chicken that you couldn't chew without breaking a tooth. My husband said his sweet and sour pork had an odd taste like it was old or not cooked properly and the dumplings were very chewy and had no taste. I don't expect to get 5 star cuisine at a fast food Chinese restaurant but we paid for a meal we couldn't eat. I called and left a message for the manager. She called back promptly and promised to issue a credit back to my account since we threw the food away. She even sent me a text message confirming it. I have never received the credit and now she will not respond to messages I have sent inquiring about the credit that was promised. Really a nice way to treat your customers! I can get better food at Panda Express. I will never eat at this establishment again.

Got food poisoning from here after eating orange chicken with fried rice, got watery diarrhea cramping and nausea for 3 days after eating here. Restaurant has multiple violations for not keeping food at proper temps and dirty food stations and utensils
