New China Express

Oh my - fast, huge portions. I mean - huge. I ordered SMALL and I've got leftovers for days.First and foremost - to go order, ordered online. Yeah, the site isn't the most modern, but it's pretty clear to point, click, add to cart, pay online or in person.And ASAP is ASAP. I ordered, left, and was ready when I arrived.Hot, fresh, and finally, someone that puts in more veggies with General Tso's (and it's a little spicy - not much, but spicier than most other's General Tso's).The space itself - is clean and open, and a few tables full of people were present. The young lady at the counter verified my phone, had my order bagged, and I was out the door.Maybe the best, closest "to-go" Chinese option for me.

The flavors weren't that good. But the portions were big. I got the beef and broccoli with fried rice. My favorite part was the wonton soup

(PSA) JUST WANT LET EVERYONE KNOW NOT TO EAT AT THE NEW CHINA EXPRESS. I got food poisoning there along with a prescription and one day in bed. My husband and I had tickets to see Sebastian Maniscalco and I had to miss that. Just a heads up to everyone.

Tried for the first time, disappointing. Garlic chicken was 90 percent broccoli & vegetables, very little chicken and not much flavor.

This place is a hit or miss. Yesterday came to try the fried rice. It was really tasty. It had the right texture and consistency. Today I ordered the same thing and the rice is wet and mushy. Looks like it wasn't cooked all the way through. Just tossed around for a few seconds and out. I'll post both pictures to compare them. They weren't busy at all for them to just toss it for a couple seconds.

We recently moved to Powell and were looking for a new Chinese restaurant. After browsing some menus, we decided on New China and WOW the food was awesome! It was ready immediately at pick up and the girl working behind the counter was so sweet. It was honestly the cleanest Chinese restaurant I've been in! We did get the food to go and it was packed perfectly. My favorite thing about them is that they worked veggies into the dishes that I haven't seen at other Chinese restaurants. Carrots with my sweet n sour chicken and the WonTon soup has crunchy shredded cabbage (more than just broth, won ton, and the occasional green onion shoot). This is definitely our new go to!

Steamed dumpling's were delicious, the rest was pretty basic Chinese food, good but the general tsos chicken & sesame chicken were the exact same except one had sesame seeds.

I've been eating here for years and have never had a bad meal. The portions and ingredients are awesome. The website could use a little work but I review places based on the food, after all, isn't that what's really important? You're able to eat there, and lunch specials aren't going to hurt your wallet. Always clean, and the family is very polite and friendly. There prices might be wrong on the website so prepare yourself. They have a meal deal, "family meal for four" for $36 currently that feeds more like five or six. It's just an all around awesome place with great food. You won't be disappointed.

Nothing fancy and not the best food you can get but very affordable even after all the inflations we are seeing.
