First of all, you're probably already a glass lover...so what are you waiting for? "Get over here!" I cannot say enough great things about Cambridge Glass, I absolutely love it! It is Eye Candy galore! There is a history lesson here, if you choose to partake, & rows upon rows of glass displayed by color batch in beautifully lit cases. Then there little nooks of separate displays & a Victorian style dining room set for Christmas dinner. Swoon! The Volunteers who work here, yes - they are all volunteers, are exemplary. Their knowledge of the pieces & of the glass making processes will "blow" you away! Everytime I've visited I've left knowing something I didn't know before. There is a small gift shop at the front & they will happily box your item & even ship! You do have to pay for shipping. They are truly experts at packaging items safely. I've had several boxes shipped to my home in Atlanta without any problems at all! Great Job Volunteers! The building is not super exciting from the exterior but you're wise enough not to judge a book by its cover! There is a small private parking lot just for the museum next to the building so usually there's no trouble with parking. Word to the wise: you will be here longer than you thought you would. If George isn't "into" glass, tell him go get a sandwich & come back in 2 hours! Also, this isn't a good place for children unless they are EXTREMELY well behaved & I mean it. They wouldn't have much fun here so why put yourself through it. Your experience here will be a memory of a lifetime. My ancestors worked in the glass factory in Cambridge many years ago which I'd never known until just a few years ago thanks to some great volunteers who shared that with me so I have many reasons to hold Cambridge dear to my heart. Lastly & very important- this isn't Costo - please CHECK their operating hours before planning a visit. They are not open full time year round. You would be so disappointed to travel a distance & find that they're not open. Check their website or call first. You're in for a treat!

The museum is awesome. Almost too much to see there. The tour starts with a video from the 1950s of the original manufacturing process. Such a gem that was saved. At the end are a list of the people in the video and their positions. It was added to the original based on the memories of people that worked there. So nice that those people's efforts will be memorialized forever. The glass pieces are beautiful. The cases are organized by year and color. The cases are packed with items. The 500+ cordial glasses are a reason alone to see the museum. Our tour guide, Laura, could not have been nicer or better informed. She pointed out interesting pieces in each case and provided historical information through the tour. There was time after the tour to walk around again on our own to see items again. A useful booklet was provided with tidbits of information for each case. They have 2 gift shop areas but are not pushy in selling the items. The prices are very good compared to what was available at the antique stores in Cambridge. Definitely a winner and worth the trip!

Awesome place to stop in and get a bit of local history. The detail and craftsmanship of their glassworks is something that is a last art. Bob gave us our tour of the museum and did an outstanding job. If your a history nut or just one who appreciated quality work stop in for a visit.

What a fabulous museum. The staff was so great and the tour was fantastic. The movie was entertaining at the beginning of the experience. I loved the items they had for sale. I definitely would recommend to anyone heading to Cambridge.

Laura, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable in the history of the Cambridge Glass Company, shape and pattern development, and the many steps involved in the manufacturing of the various styles of glassware that were produced. The museum houses a wonderful collection of those styles and beautiful glass colors that were produced from the beginning of the 1900's through the late 1950's. I thoroughly enjoyed our tour and highly recommend a visit if you get to Cambridge!

A must stop place on your visit to Cambridge. The beauty and elegance are breathtaking. It's hard to imagine that these artists wasted most of their time making laboratory glass and these elegant beauties where a sidelight.
