Moon Mountain BBQ

Fantastic bbq, sauces are unique to them and pair great with the properly done low & slow BBQ. One of the best I've had in all of Ohio, and we have a lot locally that claim to be the best. The people are wonderful, charming, and I'd hire them for corporate events at work, or catering parties in my home. They're special in a world of overhyped or overpriced BBQ choices, Moon Mountain wins my business again and again. They're worth the try, if you don't love it, I'll eat it!

If you're a fan of BBQ (which who isn't a fan of BBQ, right?), these guys deserve a chance for your business! One of the best barbecue experiences I've ever had, period. I've spent years touring the US for business and visiting every barbecue place I can along the way, including KCBS sanctioned competitions, and this place would be a top contender to give any of them a run for their money. Jeff and the team at MoonMountain BBQ have catered several events for us know, and continue to wow us with the assortment of options, flavors, flexibility, and new innovative product offerings. First, the pulled pork and brisket. Perfect smoke ring, not overpowering or over done, but Perfect. Every. Time. The signature sauce is a long developed recipe that hits all of those flavor check-boxes you want, and some you didn't even know you wanted... it's just out of this world good. I'd buy the sauce if i could, and probably put it on everything... it's that good. You can taste the love and care they put into each meal from the outstanding slaw, to the smoked (or the Guinness beans!). No shortcuts, no compromises, just done right. They are absolutely the first people i'll call when it's time for an outstanding meal. Flavor, consistency, value, and just great down to earth honest people you want to hang out with and talk about food. In a sea of overpriced or just mediocre BBQ options in the City... MoonMountain BBQ will always be at the top of my list.

BRIDES! We had booked Moon Mountain for catering sides for my wedding. THREE DAYS before my wedding they told us they can no longer cater for us because they over booked themselves. Every brides worst nightmare right? The gentleman on the phone was rude to my dad. The only suggestion they had for us was to give us some of the sides we asked for FROZEN on the day of the wedding so we can cook it ourselves. We also wanted to rent a hot box to keep the food warm during the day they also said we could not use it because they needed it themselves and suggested we just put the food in coolers because "it works the same." As you can imagine right before your wedding this was extremely stressful and I don't wish this happening to any bride. I do not recommend them.
