Just in case anyone is crazy enough to consider it at the GREEN vegetation covered frog pond...

Two nice young boys told me all about the frogs and showed me how to spot the small creatures hopping into the water.

Contrary to what is stated this park is not closed!!! I just spent about an hour there just walking the trails which are very nicely maintained. You can walk, run or bike just watch out for the walnuts and wet leaves in the fall. Besides very well maintained pathways there's a lot of nature. For you bird lovers this is amazing place to watch birds. Bring the kids and the dogs! There's a log cabin which you can't get into but is fun to look at and read a little about it's history. There are several bridges over clean streams. Another fantastic local park for photographers from beginners to professionals to take some amazing pictures. Other people whom I encountered along the way were friendly and kind. It made for a lovely walk!

This is a pretty area with some great paved walking paths to wander around on. There are picnic tables and a nice garden space near the parking lot, and you can follow the trail back from there into the woods. One section will take you past the historic Fleming cabin with an interpretative sign. There is a very nice newly replaced boardwalk/pier at the pond, which offers some seating and picnic tables, and lets you enjoy the view. The water is a bit low right now - I'm not sure if they have a way to manipulate the depth that was adjusted while the pier was being rebuilt, or if it just happens to be low right now. If you go all the way out to the bench area, you can still get a nice view of the filled up portion of the pond, however. Vernal pools also appear throughout the year. A nice place to take a walk or go for a jog!

Yelp says this place is closed. Well I'm sitting here so it's open Nice place, very quiet once you head out to the big pond. Big wooden docks with benches overlooking the water, nature all around, feels like the middle of nowhere - a great place for a good cry.

I found another good park, the M.L. "Red" Trabue Nature Reserve. It's in the middle of Dublin. There's much going on around it. It has some nice trees. The area is busy and this is like an oasis. It's easy to get here from the interstate. It's really nice to get away from all the businesses around it. The open space is a welcome change from the corporate offices and subdivisions of Dublin. It has a nice lake. The park is kind of not that known so it's not busy. I like these parks like M.L. "Red" Trabue Nature Reserve. It's not as popular so it's quieter. This is a much better part of Dublin than the corporate offices and mansions.

At first I was not crazy about this area for my engagement session photos because when I walked it with my fiancee we found ourselves right behind someones yard which is awkward right? So besides feeling awkward we walk back with my cell phone GPS because we didn't have the map of the park. I know now we are going all high tech in nature!I usually like to enjoy nature and just be at peace. We had a few runners, walkers and of course teenagers at the park tonight. My favorite part had to be have the lake area because that was the best area to capture my fiancee and I at the right moment. It just felt so natural and when your in nature you want to be natural and not trying to perfect yourself.I also liked the flowers that were out at the front. There were some beautiful peony's that sprung out now. Plus some other gorgeous flowers.
