Overall good food. Ordered catering for a team lunch. Hands down everyone loved the chicken pot pie soup. I could eat that everyday. Everything was good except the mini cinnamon rolls. Everyone thought they were too sweet.

I found out about this fast-casual joint via Sam P' check-ins. The pics looked so colorful and filling, I couldn't help but bookmark it. I happened to be in the neighborhood, with an hour to kill before appointments, so I found a meter close by and started the trek.I've never been in the State House. This venture to find Graze was my first time inside. You want to enter the State House thru the 3rd Street doors. Go thru security/metal detectors, walk to giant opening and hang a right. Good smells roaming about! When you first walk into the space, there's a blackboard with Graze's weekly lunch specials. I'm a sucker for salmon, so I went with their Wood Fired Salmon Salad. The gentlemen manning the grills were very nice. Polite. They even gave me an extra bunch of sprouts and fresh red beets on the salad, at no extra cost. That, folks, is excellent customer service! All the fresh, flavorful veggies atop, totally represented. The salad was fantastic! The salmon was cooked well - not chewy and bland. Great week-day lunch spot if you work (or live) downtown!

This little place is amazing. Hidden downstairs inside the Statehouse this cafe focuses on locally sourced foods. They have a variety of different foods from Asian to American Comfort and a lot in between. There are signs for the "cafe", that's where you're trying to go. If you're not inside the statehouse already, you do have to go through security/metal detectors to get in but it doesn't take too long. You'll find the little cafe ordering area with the menu and specials before you walk in to order. I got the charred chicken bowl... it was sooo good. Chicken was delicious, corn was sweet, tomato dressing was refreshing, I loved the pickled onions and the dressing. The bowl was a bit pricey at $9 but it was a good amount of food and downtown so it's not surprising. I would absolutely go back and try everything else they have to offer.

This is a fantastic locally-sourced quick service restaurant tucked away in the depths of the Statehouse. It appears to serve as both cafeteria for the statehouse workers, as well as true restaurant for external patrons. After following them on Facebook for a while, I finally made the trek down for lunch today. There really is no external signage to direct you where to go, so just go in the 3rd street entrance, and be prepared to walk through the security checkpoint. Once inside, walk straight ahead past the gift shop (which is really nice, btw), and then turn right when the hallway dead ends. It's tucked in a little doorway with a sign out front. It's pretty cozy inside - really only room for a few coolers and the cafeteria line. Off to the left is a separate room for dining in. I had a hard time choosing what to order, as everything looked so delicious! They have sandwiches, salads, bowls (mix of grains and veggies) and also breakfast in the morning. The prices here are very reasonable for the quantity of food, and the fact that they source many of the food items locally/seasonally. I had the Grazy Hot Bowl - and NO JOKE about it being hot. It was actually above my threshold of heat tolerance, but so flavorful that I just powered through. So, word to the wise, when they say 'spicy' here, they mean it! I think I'd ask for light on the sriracha next time, but honestly I'd probably just try something else because so many of the other dishes sounded amazing. I also love that their containers and bags are compostable!Getting in to eat here may seem intimidating, but it's painless and definitely worth the trip. Check this place out for a filling, fresh, and flavorful lunch!

It was Graze, but went back to Milo's Catering at The Capitol Cafe in the Ohio Statehouse. I had the Graze Burger with cheese and bacon with yummy Sweet Potato Fries, and a Diet Dr. Pepper. I enjoyed my burger and sweet potato fries. The bar area is too high, me and other friends struggled to sit in those high chairs to the high bar area. The bar area needs to be lowered to accommodate all people. I will go back there again for breakfast or lunch, but expect to be screened and scanned because it is in government building.

So I was at the Columbus Bar Association for a lunch program. I've been to others recently where pizza was served along with salad. If you've read any of my reviews, you would know that I eat only salad. So boy was I HAPPY when I saw the catered lunch was a build-your-own salad. AND IT WAS DELISH!!They had trays of mixed greens - NOT iceburg lettuce. Next came a choice of flavorful beef or chicken - OR BOTH! ;-) Then crumbled bleu cheese, dried cranberries, walnuts, and dressing. They also had thinly sliced granny smith apples. There was also rolls and couple types of dressing - but who needs either when you can fill your plate with the amazing salad fixings!I piled on round one along with a couple diet sodas. Half way through the program, despite looking like a glutton, I went back for more. Thanks Milo's for a wonderful lunch!

Milo's cafe at the statehouse had long been a favorite of mine. Tucked away in the basement it was the definition of a hidden gem. So I worried a bit when I heard that it was being replaced. There was no need. Graze, which has taken its place, is an even better downtown lunch option--if that is even possible. The concept is a variation on a familiar theme: various ingredients that can be combined to make a plate or salad. But the choices! Oh the choices! The plate is a little different than your usual "pile everything on rice" setup. You first get to pick two stand alone sides. There are quite a few options to choose from and, impressively, many of them are vegetables! For my first visit I went with the spicy chick peas and the zucchini and tomatillos. Each was flavorful and delicious. After picking your sides, then it's on to the more familiar protein on rice. Again however, the options are terrific. There's the usual chicken, sure. But also things like meatballs and lamb. The lamb drew me in and it was perfectly cooked. Tender, flavorful, delicious. Finally, on to the toppings. There are so many!! Thankfully the employees were patient ad I pointed and asked "what's that," and "now, how about that one." As with the sides and lamb, the toppings were both interesting and tasty. I can tell, this will be a regular destination for me. It's even worth the hassle of going through statehouse security to get in. I can see the potential for two downsides however. One, the choices could be overwhelming. There are so many options, and it sounds like their going to change over time. So if they're busy, it's possible that a backup could form as each person asks, as I did, for help. Second, if you're picking your own combinations, the possibility of making an incompatible selection is there. Not every topping or ingredient will go well with every other one. So you're going to have to make sure and choose wisely. That's not Graze's fault however. They have given you the tools to create a fresh and delicious lunch. It's up to you to use them.

Milo's Catering was a pleasure to work with for our wedding needs. Our guests have not stopped talking about how great all the food was- from the cocktail hour, to dinner, and closing out with the greatest late night tacos ever (highly recommend)! We planned our wedding from out of state, so the Milo's team was very accommodating during our tasting and were well prepared the day of the wedding. Milo's had very fair pricing and the food was top notch. We worked with Lynn, and everything ran smoothly, was plated and served in a timely manner, and wine and desserts were served without a hitch. Thank you for being there to make our wedding the best day ever! Best regards,Ken & Cathy Brophy

We can't say enough about Milo's!! The food was delicious (We heard so many positive comments from the guests at our daughter's wedding.) But for us it was all about the staff! Lynne walked us through the time line for the big day and had many helpful hints for us. It really lowered our stress level! Erica was our day of person and she was AMAZING! She took care of everything and really made it possible for us to just relax and enjoy this special day! The servers and bar staff were efficient and friendly! Thank you to the entire staff at Milo's for a wonderful day!
